Cheerio is a gorgeous female Catahoula Leopard mix. True to her breed, she is very energetic and loves to interact with her. She would love an active family to keep up with or another active/playful dog in the home. She would do best with another dog in the home who is the same size or bigger as a playmate. Crate training is going well. I have to guide her in but once inside, she settles quickly. Good news - She keeps her crate clean and she seems potty trained with routine potty breaks. Older kids would be best for her as she does like to jump on you in her excitement. Cheerio can jump my 4 foot fence. So she will need leash walked and/or a tie out or a 6 foot fence. I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play!
