Story
Marley has spent almost two years waiting for something most dogs are given without question — a home. Born around February, 2023, this strikingly handsome Catahoula mix boy has grown up in a shelter, watching the world move past him while he stays behind in a kennel run. It’s hard to understand how a dog so joyful, so loving, and so eager to connect has been overlooked for so long.  Maybe it's because he isn't in a big city where people frequent the local shelter looking a dog to love.  Marley is in a very rural ,out of the way shelter that few people come to. Marley is the kind of dog who lights up when someone notices him. He is friendly, social, and genuinely happy just to be included. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, and his favorite thing in the world is simply being part of the moment — whether that means splashing in water, running around outside, or settling in as your loyal couch companion. Time has softened Marley in the best ways. While he still has a playful spirit, he’s matured into a wonderfully balanced dog who knows how to enjoy both adventure and quiet companionship. He leans into affection, seeks out closeness, and gives love freely — the kind of love that feels steady, sincere, and deeply comforting. What Marley is missing isn’t training or potential — it’s belonging. He deserves a family who sees him not as another face in a kennel, but as a best friend waiting patiently for his turn. A home where he can stretch his legs, rest his head on your lap, and finally understand that he’s safe and chosen. Marley is sweet. He is beautiful. He is ready. He has already waited long enough. He deserves more than a kennel. He deserves mornings in a home, evenings with his head in your lap, and a life where he's finally chosen. If you're looking for a dog who will meet you with joy, loyalty, and an open heart every single day... Marley Is still at the shelter, still hoping, and still ready to go home. Even if all you can do is foster him while Critter Cavalry searches for a home, please consider the option to free him. All he needs is someone to look at him and say, you’re coming home with me. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please consider Marley and changing his life from a kennel run to a soft dog bed laying at your feet. Don't hesitate to contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 26, 2026, 6:54 pm

Story
Meet Butler! Butler is a high-energy, big-personality dog looking for the right fit in a committed, experienced home. He's a playful, goofy companion who enjoys structured training and has shown he can socialize with other dogs under supervision. However, Butler will thrive best as the only dog in the home, where he can receive the focused guidance he needs to succeed. In a home setting with his trainer, Butler has made impressive progress living among a pack of dogs. He's e-collar trained, housebroken, crate trained, and has excellent leash skills. His trainer has witnessed firsthand that with structure and leadership, Butler shines and is a joy to be around. Butler is a fantastic candidate for a strong and experienced handler familiar with powerful breeds. He would make a wonderful adventure buddy and is highly trainable, but he does need clear boundaries and consistent guidance. His trainer can discuss Butler's behavioral needs in detail with any interested adopters and will provide follow-ups to help ensure his continued success. A stable, structured start will be key to Butler's happy transition into his new home. If you're ready for a devoted, high-energy companion and have the experience to guide him, Butler may be the perfect match! For more information or to book a call with Butler's trainer and foster, Emilie Swett, please contact Pet Rendezvous at 603-447-3435.
