Story
Looking do add a little Catahoula crazy to your life? Zoey is on the search for her very own forever home! Zoey is a ~4 year old Catahoula Leopard dog lady, looking for an active sport savvy family to be her people. Zoey is definitely still young and nutty at heart, her favorite go-to greeting is pogo stick jumping to give face kisses. She'd love to find a family willing to guide her in her continuing education, she could use a crash course on all the basic manners and skills. Being a Catahoula girl that came to us as a stray, we think she'd be best in a home with no cats or small animal friends. She loves to chase, and seems to have a natural hunting instinct when it comes to small critters. Zoey would do best as the only dog in your new home. She is very vocal and reactive when seeing other dogs, so will benefit from some continued training on how to coexist harmoniously around other animals. Luckily, she is VERY food motivated so that'll help in her future training endeavors.

Story
Butler came to us after his owners recognized he was no longer a good fit for them. He has a lot of energy and a HUGE personality. He's fun to work with, goofy, and has shown he can socialize, with supervision, with other dogs. He should be the only dog in the home, as he will need structure and consistent training to thrive. He's had great success in a home setting with a trainer, living among a pack of dogs. He is e-collar trained, housebroken, crate trained, does excellent in a home setting, and has great leash skills. He will be a wonderful companion in the right home and has the potential to be a wonderful canine companion with structure and leadership. Butler has the potential to be a wonderful adventure buddy, but experience with powerful breeds is an absolute must. Butler does have some behavioral complications and will need strong and reasonable leadership. His trainer and handler can discuss this in detail with any interested party. With a lack of structure, he can begin to take advantage of handlers in the home. Starting off on the right foot is very important to Butler's success, and his trainer would be happy to do follow-ups to make sure he is successful long-term. We are looking for a handler who is ready for his high energy, but very trainable, personality. Please call Pet Rendezvous at 603-447-3435 to book a phone call with Emilie Swett, his trainer and foster, if you have any questions.

Story
Hello, my name is Cobra! I am a very energetic guy who loves running around in the dog park, and going for hikes. I haven't had much of a chance to hang out with other dogs yet, but with a proper introduction and another high energy dog it may be a possibility. Due to my high energy, teenagers and adults would be the best fit in a new household. I do not have experience living with cats but I would probably chase them for fun.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mega is the most precious pup who is special needs and deserves the best home! Although considered special needs he's really your average puppy. He is around 14 weeks old as of September 2, 2023. He currently weighs 20 pounds and he is the sweetest and happiest guy. Mega came to us at just 4 weeks old. His eyes did not fully develop so he is completely blind. He also has a mild case of hydrocephalus but as of now he has no symptoms. We were not familiar with this condition so we have had guidance from our vets but also joined a group on facebook called hydrocephalus in dogs. It has been so helpful and also encouraging. There are many dogs that live happy healthy lives with this condition. Mega is currently on on generic prilosec which is cheap and available over the counter. This is encourage for dogs with his condition. Mega is so happy all of the time. He loves toys, other dogs, cats, all humans, giving kisses, snuggling, car rides, playing tug of war, and he sits on command. He is very treat motivated. Although he is blind he gets around very well. He knows his way around my house and knows exactly where the food and water bowl are. He can even climb steps but does need some help getting down them. He really is perfect in so many ways, and he will make the right family the perfect companion. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention. You must have a great vet reference to be consideredVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 1, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
Meet Atlas. While his DNA is very rich in dog breeds (18 actually), his appearance is quite unique, with two breeds as the main standouts. His face and ear structure look mostly Pitbull, but his "glass eyes", height, thick body (about 65 lbs), and mottled coat are distinct characteristics of his distant Catahoula Leopard dog relatives. Atlas loves a good cuddle and is the best hugger. Although he can be a little stand-offish around strangers at first, he warms up quickly to people of all ages. He does well with children and with other dogs that do not have as dominant of a personality as his own. He loves hikes, exploring, runs/walks, chasing balls and frisbees, playing tug, and chewing on toys. He will dig from boredom if he is left alone outside for long periods of time without sufficient engagement. He knows a few commands but usually prefers to perform for treats. Atlas is an affectionate, active dog that needs an equally loving and active family to meet his emotional and physical needs.   If you would like to make this amazing guy part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Atlas is located in Alabama and available for transport. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.
