Story
Marley has spent almost two years waiting for something most dogs are given without question — a home. Born around February, 2023, this strikingly handsome Catahoula mix boy has grown up in a shelter, watching the world move past him while he stays behind in a kennel run. It’s hard to understand how a dog so joyful, so loving, and so eager to connect has been overlooked for so long.  Maybe it's because he isn't in a big city where people frequent the local shelter looking a dog to love.  Marley is in a very rural ,out of the way shelter that few people come to. Marley is the kind of dog who lights up when someone notices him. He is friendly, social, and genuinely happy just to be included. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, and his favorite thing in the world is simply being part of the moment — whether that means splashing in water, running around outside, or settling in as your loyal couch companion. Time has softened Marley in the best ways. While he still has a playful spirit, he’s matured into a wonderfully balanced dog who knows how to enjoy both adventure and quiet companionship. He leans into affection, seeks out closeness, and gives love freely — the kind of love that feels steady, sincere, and deeply comforting. What Marley is missing isn’t training or potential — it’s belonging. He deserves a family who sees him not as another face in a kennel, but as a best friend waiting patiently for his turn. A home where he can stretch his legs, rest his head on your lap, and finally understand that he’s safe and chosen. Marley is sweet. He is beautiful. He is ready. He has already waited long enough. He deserves more than a kennel. He deserves mornings in a home, evenings with his head in your lap, and a life where he's finally chosen. If you're looking for a dog who will meet you with joy, loyalty, and an open heart every single day... Marley Is still at the shelter, still hoping, and still ready to go home. Even if all you can do is foster him while Critter Cavalry searches for a home, please consider the option to free him. All he needs is someone to look at him and say, you’re coming home with me. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please consider Marley and changing his life from a kennel run to a soft dog bed laying at your feet. Don't hesitate to contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 26, 2026, 6:54 pm

Story
Tall, blonde, and handsome (with gorgeous partially blue eyes). That's our Grover!Grover is a 9 year old Catahoula/Lab mix and a loved long timer of over 5 years just waiting at the shelter for someone to "take a chance" on him. He was terrified after leaving the only home he had ever known, but has warmed up to his favorite staff members. He has been enjoying all the walks, runs, hikes and even working on his agility skills! Although Grover needs gradual introductions to new people-once he does feel comfortable with his chosen people, he shares his silly and affectionate side. Grover had lived with a small dog in his previous home, and he sometimes forgets his own size and strength by thinking he is a lap dog. He does get along with smaller/medium dogs, but we believe Grover would thrive best in a home without dogs. With Grover's strength and being fearful of loud noises, he is looking for a quiet low traffic adult only home. Grover is still holding onto hope that his forever home is out there. Let's help him get the chance that he has been longing for and deserving of! To apply to adopt Grover, please submit an application at rbari.org/dogs Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Age: 9yrs 1mths 4wks

Story
Fauna is just over 2 months old and an absolutely stunning Catahoula mix. Weighing around 7–10 lbs, she is a typical tiny, young puppy who loves everything and everyone she meets. Sweet, curious, and full of puppy joy, Fauna is excited to explore the world around her. Like any young pup, Fauna will need training, guidance, and patience as she learns and grows. Because she’s so young, she would do great in a home with dogs, kids, and cats with proper introductions. Fauna is microchipped and up to date on vaccines and is ready to find a loving family to show her the world and grow up with her.
