💔🐾 Meet Sonic & Loki — Two Senior Hearts Who Deserve to Go Home Together 🐾💔 Sometimes, life changes in ways our dogs simply don’t understand. And sometimes, after giving their humans years of unconditional love, they find themselves wondering where their family went. That is the story of Sonic and Loki. 🐾 Sonic — 12-year-old Catahoula Mix 🐾 Loki — 10-year-old Jack Russell Mix ❤️ Adopted many years ago and have spent their lives together 🏠 Their family’s circumstances changed after their mom and dad divorced ✈️ Dad moved to South Carolina, where Sonic and Loki enjoyed a new chapter of life 🌴 They traveled, went on adventures, and even enjoyed trips to the beach! 🏖️ 💔 Unfortunately, circumstances eventually landed them in a shelter 🚗 Now they have found themselves back in Ohio with MBR, hoping for a second chance 🐶 Great with other dogs 👧 Great with children 🐱 Cats are currently unknown 🏡 Potty trained 🐶🐶 They have each other—and that matters tremendously 🤝 For only the second time in MBR history, we are asking that two dogs be adopted together 🛏️ Sonic has some crate aversion and relies on Loki to help him feel safe ❤️ Loki is Sonic's comfort, security, and familiar friend 🥺 At 12 and 10 years old, they should not have to start over alone 🌅 These boys have already shared a lifetime of memories—we want them to have their forever chapter together Sonic and Loki have already experienced more change than any dog should have to endure. They had a family. They had a home. They had adventures, car rides, trips to the beach, and the comfort of knowing where they belonged. Then life changed. And somehow, through all of those changes, they still have each other. 💔❤️ For Sonic, Loki isn't simply another dog. Loki is his security blanket. When Sonic is unsure or uncomfortable, he looks to Loki to help him feel safe. After losing so much familiar comfort, we cannot imagine asking him to lose Loki, too. That is why MBR is making an incredibly rare request. 🐾 For only the second time in MBR history, we are asking for these two dogs to be adopted together. 🐾 They don't need a perfect home. They don't need someone looking for puppies or endless adventures. They simply need someone who will look at two senior dogs who have already given so much of their lives to their humans and say: "You don't have to lose each other. You're home now." 🏡❤️ Sonic and Loki have spent years loving their family. They deserve to spend their remaining years together, surrounded by love, comfort, and the security of finally knowing they aren't going anywhere. If you have room in your heart—and your home—for two very special senior boys, please consider giving Sonic and Loki the forever they have been waiting for. 🥺🐾❤️ Age: Loki 10 years Sonic 12 years Adoption Fee: $400 for both $200 each MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training and grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters

Story
Tootie is a 6-month-old, 20-lb Beagle/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with gorgeous markings and an even sweeter personality! Found as a stray, this little cutie is now looking for her forever family. Tootie is sweet, submissive, social, and eager to please. She loves people and would thrive with another playful, dog-friendly dog. She currently does great with dogs, kids, and dog-savvy cats. Like any puppy, she has plenty of energy and loves to play, but she also settles well when playtime is over. She’s making great progress with house and crate training and is eager to learn. Her Catahoula side means she’ll do best with an active family who can provide plenty of exercise, training, and mental stimulation. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, social puppy who is ready to become your new best friend, Tootie is your girl! Tootie's adoption fee is $250 fully vetted. Save Ohio Strays does not have a shelter. Our dogs are integrated into their foster homes who can tell you all about them to make the transition into your home informative and supportive. Story
Zeus is approximately 15-16 months old. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and on heartworm and flea prevention.  Zeus is good with other dogs but does take some time to warm up to "strangers". Give him about 15 minutes! We do suggest no cats or children under the age of 10. He's pretty exuberant and may scare children. He would love a doggy friend! He is very high energy due to his past. He is also a love bug and loves to snuggle once he calms down. He is crate trained and if there is another dog in the home, would do best with meals in his crate. He does guard toys and food from other dogs but not his humans! If you have the time and patience to give this baby boy his forever, best home, please fill out an application.March 7, 2026, 11:41 am
