Story
Willow was born 6/18/2025, so she is almost 8 months old. She is playful and smart. She has had one round of shots and been dewormed. She is crate trained and house broke. My son's s dog had puppies and hasn't been able to find homes for the last two. She has a brother that is also available. He is moving soon and wont be able to take either of them, because he is allowed one pet. Willow would make a great pet for anyone.

Absolutely! Here’s the updated version with that change made: Meet this precious 5-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog girl — a little soul with a big heart and an even bigger love for people 💕 This sweet, loving pup is everything you could hope for in a young companion. She absolutely adores people, lights up around kids, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Wherever there are hugs, gentle voices, or a chance to be close, she’s happiest right there by your side. She’s already off to a great start in life — fully vaccinated, spayed, and almost housebroken (she’s so close!). She’s currently working on her leash skills and improving every day, eager to learn and please. With her affectionate nature and bright spirit, she’ll thrive with gentle guidance and lots of love. This girl isn’t just a puppy — she’s a best friend in the making. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, people-loving companion to grow up with your family or be your constant shadow, she’s ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and endless tail wags 🐾💖 **You must complete an adoption application prior to meeting Lisa**

Story
Marley has spent almost two years waiting for something most dogs are given without question — a home. Born around February, 2023, this strikingly handsome Catahoula mix boy has grown up in a shelter, watching the world move past him while he stays behind in a kennel run. It’s hard to understand how a dog so joyful, so loving, and so eager to connect has been overlooked for so long.  Maybe it's because he isn't in a big city where people frequent the local shelter looking a dog to love.  Marley is in a very rural ,out of the way shelter that few people come to. Marley is the kind of dog who lights up when someone notices him. He is friendly, social, and genuinely happy just to be included. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, and his favorite thing in the world is simply being part of the moment — whether that means splashing in water, running around outside, or settling in as your loyal couch companion. Time has softened Marley in the best ways. While he still has a playful spirit, he’s matured into a wonderfully balanced dog who knows how to enjoy both adventure and quiet companionship. He leans into affection, seeks out closeness, and gives love freely — the kind of love that feels steady, sincere, and deeply comforting. What Marley is missing isn’t training or potential — it’s belonging. He deserves a family who sees him not as another face in a kennel, but as a best friend waiting patiently for his turn. A home where he can stretch his legs, rest his head on your lap, and finally understand that he’s safe and chosen. Marley is sweet. He is beautiful. He is ready. He has already waited long enough. He deserves more than a kennel. He deserves mornings in a home, evenings with his head in your lap, and a life where he's finally chosen. If you're looking for a dog who will meet you with joy, loyalty, and an open heart every single day... Marley Is still at the shelter, still hoping, and still ready to go home. Even if all you can do is foster him while Critter Cavalry searches for a home, please consider the option to free him. All he needs is someone to look at him and say, you’re coming home with me. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please consider Marley and changing his life from a kennel run to a soft dog bed laying at your feet. Don't hesitate to contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 26, 2026, 6:33 pm

Story
“No animal I know of can consistently be more of a friend and companion than a dog.” And do we have a wonderful dog for you - meet Stella Luna! She is one year old and weighs 48 pounds, so she's a fine choice if you want to adopt a medium-sized dog. Why we love her: Stella Luna is just stunning! She is a gentle, graceful long- legged beauty who has an aura of elegance about her and is such a sweetheart! A famous heroine of southern literature was described as "high spirited, vivacious and most charming." This is also a perfect description of Stella Luna! Stella Luna is a favorite, enthusiastic walking companion who enjoys being close by your side. She has so much fun in the fenced yard, where she loves to run and play. Stella Luna is so agile and has a beautiful gait. She has had the best time playing with her favorite shelter buddy, Russ. They bound about in total joy and have such fun! Stella Luna has a sweet, happy to lucky personality and will jump for joy! She enjoys attention and affection and adores being petted and loved on. Stella Luna is a bright, eager to please dog who should master any commands you wish to teach her. Stella Luna recently spent some time in a foster home and they report: She had a great visit here with us. The bad weather and power loss for many days was tough. Stella Luna did really well around the other dogs. She is a really smart dog. Stella Luna sits and goes in and out of the kennel on command. Stella Luna loves belly rubs!! She sleeps very well in a kennel. Stella Luna goes to the door when she needs to go out. She returns to the same door when ready to come in. She plays really well with all the other dogs." Take Stella Luna home and the love, devotion and wonderful companionship are guaranteed! E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Story
Birdie is a stunningly beautiful girl!! She fell on hard times when her family had significant health issues so she was left to fend for herself. She came to the Ark very frightened and needing lots of special TLC. In the short time she has been at the Ark she has blossomed into an incredibly smart, playful and affectionate girl! She is tall (just above knee high) and has the most beautiful prancing gait as she runs! (and yes, she does have one brown eye and one blue eye!!) She does really well with cats and is very friendly with other dogs. Birdie is a Catahoula Heeler, which means she has strong working dog traits and needs to be in a home where she can be active, have a 'job' and get lots of exercise. If you are interested in adopting Birdie, please click the link and submit an adoption application! ** Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.
