Story
This sweet, timid girl is looking for her forever home! Betty is 1 yr old, about 45 lbs, fully vetted and current on preventatives, great with big dogs (like obsessed with big dogs) but not good with small dogs, and likely not cats either, crate trained, house trained. Betty came from a sad, neglectful situation (with 9 other siblings and a few adults). Dogs help her come out of her shell. She could be an only dog if her human had plenty of time to spend with her. Two of her sisters are in other foster homes and four have been adopted and are THRIVING! Now it's her turn!

Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.COURTESY POSTING FOR MATTHEW WATSON.  Pictures taken on 5/27/2026 - please inquire at 903-393-2754 or at LightsOnNotHome@outlook.com   From Matthew: 'This is Skinnie, around 4 months old, and was abandoned on a county road outside Rusk, TX along with her 3 siblings.  I took them all for vaccinations on 5-24-2026 and the vet did not find any problems with her.  Her weight is about 32 pounds, and the vet said she would reach around 50 pounds when fully grown.  Being only 4 months old I have not had her spayed because she is still growing, and I don't want to hurt her development by doing it too soon.  She is not house or crate trained, but she has been in a crate on multiple occasions with her siblings, and I have not had any problems with them.  She is very sweet and loving with me, my parents, and my other rescue dog that I already have, but she has not been around children or cats.  I don't think it will be a problem.  She doesn't like our chickens just like her sister Grendel, though.  She earned the name Skinnie because she had a skint nose when I found her, and she is the klutz of the group, always running into or over something.  She loves attention and is very loving to me.  She will lead if she has very few distractions, but she has the shortest attention span of the group.  I have been working with her and she is getting better at it.  I cannot keep her long term due to family health issues.'   $20 adoption fee.June 22, 2026, 9:02 pm
