Story
If you like big dogs and you cannot lie, boy, do we have the girl for you! Say hi to Sable. This stunner is a 6-month-old, Anatolian Shepherd mix who currently weighs 35 pounds. She will be large, weighing over 60 pounds when fully grown. If she doesn’t woo you with her soulful brown eyes, she will with her sweet and social personality. Sable is an active pup who can also be mellow. She loves nothing more than being around her people getting pets, or playing with her doggie friends. Miss Sable not only has the looks but also the smarts. She is nearly house-trained and sleeps quietly in her crate when left alone and at night. She is practicing her leash skills with her foster dad and is doing well. Sable has already learned a couple of commands, such as ‘touch’ and ‘come’. She LOVES to chew, so having chew toys on hand is a great release for her puppy urges. Playing in her very own fenced yard would make her a very happy girl. A 5’ fence is recommended. Sable would love a family willing to continue working with her on puppy training so she can grow up to be a well-behaved doggo. She will come to you spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, along with flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $275. To meet her, simply head over to PawsitiveTailsKC.org and fill out an adoption application. Meet and greets will be set up with approved applicants. This BIG-hearted girl is ready to show her BIG love to her forever family. Apply now! 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Trends come and go, especially in the age of “viral” social media. But some things never go out of style! One of those things is, without a doubt, Chex Mix! Chex Mix has been the trusted go-to treat for ages. Why? Because there is something for everyone! It’s salty, sweet, and everything neat! There are so many Chex Mix varieties to choose from, but our favorite is our very own Chex mix! Chex is a 1.5-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing 65-70 pounds. Chex knows that the success of Chex Mix lies in the mixture of perfectly paired ingredients—and he believes that he’d be better paired with you! Chex is looking for his forever family, and the recipe for success in your home has pretty much been laid out for you! Let’s go over all of the boxes that our sweet boy ‘CHEX’ off! -Is he housetrained? CHEX! He knows to ring the bells when nature calls! -Is he crate trained? CHEX! He rests quietly in his crate at night, but he also won’t decline a nice couch or floor. -Does he know basic commands? CHEX! He knows “sit,” “lay down,” “stay,” “wait,” “manners” (when being served food), “get your toy,” and “beg” (he will lay his head on your leg)! He is learning “say please,” “come and sit,” and "under" to go under your legs. He is very smart and learns new commands easily. -Does he like to play? CHEX! He LOVES squeaky toys and tug toys. His favorite toy is a squeaky ball with a protective dome to prevent him from tearing it apart. -Can he live in a home with cats? CHEX! He likes cats. If a cat hits at him or hisses, he becomes scared of it and is too nervous to even walk past it again. If a cat is chill with a dog, then he does great. Here are some important considerations for building your mix with Chex: -Chex likes to choose his doggy friends wisely. He would do best as an only dog, but could be okay with the right kind of pal. -Chex loves kids and would be best with teens and older due to his energy level and the fact that he still needs a firm "no" at times. He can also get a little mouthy when he’s overexcited. -Chex is a strong boy and could use some practice with his leash manners. -Chex is quite the ladies’ man, but he takes a while to warm up to men. He will need some time with his adopters to build trust. Overall, the perfect mix for Chex would be a woman-only home with no small children. He would love a fenced-in backyard to run and play. Chex is smart and loyal and will be a really great pup for the right person! Chex will come to you vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is also current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention! His adoption fee is $175. If Chex is CHEXING all of your boxes, go to fill out an app at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
