Story
This is Bill, a sweet and loyal young long-haired German Shepherd Dog. Bill might be a little cautious when he first meets new people, but once he knows you're kind, he will light up and run straight to you like you have been best friends forever. Bill is house and crate trained and will sleep in bed with his family but is also just as comfortable sleeping in a crate if preferred. Bill adores us, his human family, and loves nothing more than being near us as much as possible. Unfortunately, we recently brought another young, male German Shephard in our home and Bill has become a bit more protective of us, and me especially. As difficult as it is to say, I have to rehome Bill as our younger male is my childs and was given as a present. And I do not have the time to give to Bill that could make him more comfortable with another animal around with time due to my work. If you'r looking for a goofy and affectionate companion who will love you deeply, pls let me know.

Story
Hi, my name is Beau! I may look like a big tough guy at 95 pounds, but deep down I’m a gentle, sensitive soul who`s learning how to trust again. I was adopted as a puppy and returned several years later. No one knows exactly what happened during that time, but when I came back to Pawmetto Lifeline, I was scared and unsure. Thankfully, the kind humans here gave me time, patience, and training—and I’ve come so far!I’m an active, intelligent boy who loves to play. Fetch is my favorite game, especially if there’s a tennis ball involved. I’ll even bring it back! I also enjoy nature walks, tug-of-war, and learning new cues—I’m working on Sit, Down, and Come, and I’m walking to the yard on a leash like a champ. I thrive on routine, and I’m very treat-motivated, which makes training super fun for me.My ideal home would be a quiet adult household with people who will give me space and time to get to know them at my pace. The best way to build trust with me? Play fetch! I prefer not to be touched right away—unless you’re offering a butt scratch, and even that should be on my terms.Even though I’m beautiful, big, and fluffy, I don’t like to share my things. If you allow me on beds or couches, I may claim them as mine and feel uncomfortable if you try to move me—so it’s best to keep boundaries and teach me that furniture is off-limits.Because of my sensitive nature, I’ll need multiple visits with a potential adopter so we can get to know each other slowly and thoughtfully. Once I trust you, I’ll be a loyal, playful, and loving companion. If you`re patient, dog-savvy, and ready for a unique and rewarding bond, I might just be your perfect match. Could you be my forever person? My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
