Meet Freya!
A bright and loyal one-year-old German Shepherd mix currently in Baytown, TX, whose essence is a gentle blend of playfulness, devotion, and a touch of sweet shyness wrapped in a tan coat with black accents.
At 55 pounds of pure affection and curiosity, Freya is a young explorer who’s already mastered house training and confidently uses a doggy door like a seasoned pro. She thrives with structure and routine, morning walks and early evening naps are totally her thing! While she may start off a bit shy, it doesn’t take long for her to warm up, and once she does, you’ll have a devoted sidekick who wants nothing more than to be close to you, whether you're lounging on the couch or heading out for an adventure.
Freya is wonderfully friendly with everyone she meets. People, other dogs, and even cats she encounters on walks! Her calm, gentle energy helps her win hearts wherever she goes. She’s also crate trained, microchipped, spayed, and up to date on all her vaccinations, making her more than ready to step into her new loving home.
Playtime is her love language, especially when there’s a rope toy involved! She’s also a big fan of exploring the outdoors and would be perfectly compatible with a family that enjoys staying active. A fenced yard and children aged eight and up would make her tail wag with joy! Loud, sudden noises can startle her, but with reassurance and a calm environment, she bounces back quickly.
Freya knows several commands like “stay,” “look,” “see,” and “stop,” and she’s eager to keep learning with positive reinforcement and consistency. She's the kind of companion who will gently press against your leg while you’re reading or trot happily beside you on a trail, always nearby, always loyal!
