Buddy is currently at a local shelter. We were there picking up another dog and as he walked by we were stunned by how sweet and handsome he was. He's incredible. He is estimated to be 1 year old and weighs 70 lbs. He is completely housebroken and doesn't need a crate. He walks well on the leash,and is good with dogs and children. The people that owned him said he was a laid back, "couch potato" and "needy". which just means that he loves affection! What a perfect dog. ##2768525##

Hi, I’m Licorice Since you are reading this, you’re obviously looking for a new best friend - hey, so am I! It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you look like, but in case these things matter to you, I was born sometime in May 2023. I’m a mixed breed and weigh approximately 50 lbs. I have a gorgeous black shiny coat with the most stunning white star on my chest. My foster mommy named me after her favorite candy. Hey, that’s me in the picture. Ain't I handsome? I was born somewhere in East Texas and came from a litter of seven puppies. My sisters and I were abandoned June 2023 on the side of the road in a cardboard box. We were very hot and thirsty, and our tummies were grumbling, because the grass and rocks we ate were not keeping us full. Luckily, a Good Samaritin saved us and called Cody's Friends Rescue. We were even more lucky when Cody's found a foster family that would take all seven of us together! All of my sisters have been adopted or moved to new foster homes, but I am still waiting for my furever family. In my foster home is my foster mommy, daddy, and my favorite human buddy (check us out in the photos). There is also Conway a 3 year old pit bull/lab mix, and my best friend Mia who's the same age as me (check us out in the photos)! Want to know my favorite color? It’s green of course - just look at my collar. I love playing with squeaky toys, balls, and tug-o-war with rope toys. I am a big chewer and definitely need chew toys to keep me busy. My most favorite chew toys are yak sticks and chew hooves. I am very energetic and active, but when I’m pooped out, I love to chill out on the sofa while getting belly rubs. I really try to restrain myself, but I can’t help digging in my foster dad’s veggie garden and compost bin. He sure isn’t happy about that, but digging is so much fun! I also like to steal and chew my foster family's socks. I am crate trained and whenever you leave home it's a good idea to put me in a crate, so I am not tempted to chew something I shouldn't. Meeting new dogs and going to the dog park is very overwhelming for me, so my foster mommy says I would do much better as an only dog or with only one selective buddy. I am especially good at math and know exactly how many treats are in your pocket at all times. I hope you like kisses, because I am very affectionate and love giving wet doggy kisses. I am kid-friendly, house trained, crate trained, fully vetted, microchipped, neutered, and let's not forget extremely handsome! What more could ya want? So . . . what do you say? She is convinced that she's a lap dog despite her size, and she'll gladly curl up on you like she's a dainty 10 pounder. At the dog park, she's the life of the party; in the yard, she's a free-spirited adventurer. Have a pool, she will be your swimming partner - she loves the water. Sweet Leila is already thriving in her foster home. She LOVES running in her back yard and playing. Leila is NOT aggressive in any way. Leila has already learned to sit ("sit pretty") and shake before meal time or going for a walk. Leila knows to go sit by the door when she needs to go outside! She knows that "go for a ride" means she's going too and she runs to the car and sits and waits for her door to be opened! All of this since she arrived on 10/16/25!!
