Hi, I’m Licorice Since you are reading this, you’re obviously looking for a new best friend - hey, so am I! It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you look like, but in case these things matter to you, I was born sometime in May 2023. I’m a mixed breed and weigh approximately 50 lbs. I have a gorgeous black shiny coat with the most stunning white star on my chest. My foster mommy named me after her favorite candy. Hey, that’s me in the picture. Ain't I handsome? I was born somewhere in East Texas and came from a litter of seven puppies. My sisters and I were abandoned June 2023 on the side of the road in a cardboard box. We were very hot and thirsty, and our tummies were grumbling, because the grass and rocks we ate were not keeping us full. Luckily, a Good Samaritin saved us and called Cody's Friends Rescue. We were even more lucky when Cody's found a foster family that would take all seven of us together! All of my sisters have been adopted or moved to new foster homes, but I am still waiting for my furever family. In my foster home is my foster mommy, daddy, and my favorite human buddy (check us out in the photos). There is also Conway a 3 year old pit bull/lab mix, and my best friend Mia who's the same age as me (check us out in the photos)! Want to know my favorite color? It’s green of course - just look at my collar. I love playing with squeaky toys, balls, and tug-o-war with rope toys. I am a big chewer and definitely need chew toys to keep me busy. My most favorite chew toys are yak sticks and chew hooves. I am very energetic and active, but when I’m pooped out, I love to chill out on the sofa while getting belly rubs. I really try to restrain myself, but I can’t help digging in my foster dad’s veggie garden and compost bin. He sure isn’t happy about that, but digging is so much fun! I also like to steal and chew my foster family's socks. I am crate trained and whenever you leave home it's a good idea to put me in a crate, so I am not tempted to chew something I shouldn't. Meeting new dogs and going to the dog park is very overwhelming for me, so my foster mommy says I would do much better as an only dog or with only one selective buddy. I am especially good at math and know exactly how many treats are in your pocket at all times. I hope you like kisses, because I am very affectionate and love giving wet doggy kisses. I am kid-friendly, house trained, crate trained, fully vetted, microchipped, neutered, and let's not forget extremely handsome! What more could ya want? So . . . what do you say? Ranger was at a local over crowded shelter and he was in danger of being put down due to space. A kind person heard about his plight and got him out. She is now moving and needs to find him a loving home. He had originally been found tied with a chain and starved several times so he was not a stranger to the shelter. The new owner loves him very much and says he is a wonderful dog and deserves so much. He is 4 years old and weighs 95 lbs. He is super friendly and loves people and great with children, dogs and cats! He has no medical issues and house trained. Prindess used to have no name. She was dumped at a Golf Course, and no one could catch her. Many residents watched her skinny body become emaciated, where she was weaka d=and could barely stand up. One opened up her back door and Princess jumped right in. She has been holding onto her but cannot keep her. She said she is "absolutely the sweetest, smartest dog". She is smart, affectionate and housebroken. She is calm and not destructive. She is just about perfect. She is a smallish girl - weighs about 60 lbs and about 2 years old. Have you always wanted a German Shepherd at a smaller size? Princess is your girl! She is good with older kids, not so great with small children because she dooent like littles getting in her face. It scares her.. She is good with larger dogs. Foster has two other GS’s and a Heeler/cocker mix. No problems at all with them. ##2548676##
