Story
Lana came back to us a few months ago because her adopter was often away from home and Lana needed someone who could maintain more of a routine and also ensure that she is able to get ongoing health care if needed. She was having seizures in that home but that has not continued in her foster home however we have noticed that she is likely deaf and also a bit "dull" (slow). Lana is a sweet girl but does not engage much with people or other dogs. She is easy to handle but is not fully housebroken so someone would need to be patient with her. Lana is leash and crate trained and quiet so might do ok in a townhome or condo with a small outdoor area. Lana is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and also had a dental when she was originally in rescue (2025). She originally came to us from Nogales (SCACC) and was believed to have Lupus but that was not confirmed and the symptoms resolved completely. Lana is around 10 years old and is 15 lbs. She would likely do best in a quiet home with a consistent routine with someone who understands her (due to her special needs she can get upset with too much change). Story
Roy is a sweet older gentleman who came to us from AHS where he was at risk due to mildly enlarged heart (grade 3 murmur) and and a stinkly mouth. Roy was also a bit underweight but has gained and gotten closer to his ideal now that his painful teeth are gone. Roy is estimated at 8 years old and is around 14 lbs. Roy walks nicely on a leash, is mostly housetrained using the dog door and does pretty well in a crate for short periods. He was able dental surgery (with extractions) when he was neutered. Roy does have some early stage cataracts but still seems to see well and hears well also. Our vet also evaluated his heart and said he does not need to be on medications at this time. Roy may be a little selective about his 4 legged friends though he gets along with most of the dogs at his foster home. Roy is very friendly and outgoing with new people though may be a bit too exuberant for small children. Story
Molly came to us from Yuma. Our vet estimated her at 9-10 years old and she is 7-8 lbs so a perfect little package. Molly is affectionate and loving but has showed some resource guarding toward the other dogs in her foster home (she wants ALL the love). She could potentially co-exist with another dog with some correction and direction but might prefer a home as an only dog. Molly is also currently living with children so loves people of all ages and sizes Molly is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and will get a dental while in the rescue. She does have hair loss on her back but our vet felt that she might be a Chinese Crested mix (or another hairless breed) though it could also be Alopecia. She seems to be otherwise healthy. She is not a fan of the crate but does walk nicely on a leash/harness and is doing well picking up the potty routine in her foster home. Molly could be available for foster to adopt if the adopter is willing to bring her for her dental cleaning (Tucson or Phoenix).
