Story
Woolly came to us from Yuma and is sweet and friendly boy when he knows what to expect and with a predictable schedule and trusted human but does take a month or more to really settle in. He has not had any documented bites but can be snappy when he is rushed or doesn't understand what is happening, however he usually does provide clear cues/signals when he feels uncomfortable (growling) but needs someone who understands. Due to this potential, he would be best with no children or with older kids (12+) who are dog savvy. He seems to prefer male (humans) but will adapt and warm to females also after a few days and lots of patience. He loves most other dogs but can be a little pushy so would be better with a more submissive or neutral friend. Woolly is estimated as 8 years old and is 14 lbs. Woolly does great on a leash and seems to be house trained though does mark inside and outside so will need to be managed (though this also improves with time!). He loves earning treats and attention so is easily trainable. He adjusted well to a new potty routine and does fine in a crate. He will likely need to be muzzled at the vet and groomer and has gotten more familiar with the process. He is neutered and fully vaccinated and microchipped. Story
For anyone looking for a bonded pair you cannot go wrong with these two!! (Sonic/male and Poppy/female) Poppy now seems to be the more confident one. She's very sweet and loves being around her humans. Neither likes or does well in a crate but they also don't have any destructive behaviors. Poppy is potty trained and goes to the door to be let out. She needs to meet new people slowly but will warm up. They are 5-6 years old and weigh 10-13 lbs. Sonic is a loving sweet boy and takes a little longer to warm up. He's cautious and shy in the beginning and will bark at strangers he doesn't know at first. He loves to be outside and explore his surroundings. He will come and ask for pets and affection and enjoys being held. Sonic is potty trained and goes to the door to be let outside. They are altered, current on vaccines and microchipped. Both dogs do bark at the resident cats and would probably chase them if able to. They have been just fine and friendly around my dogs. Neither walks well on a leash so an adopter would need to work on that which would require someone with some patience. They would be a great companion dogs for someone home the majority of the time as they love being around their person(s). Story
Ruby aka Grace came to us from AZ Humane Society. She is a sensitive and , affectionate and friendly girl and loves everyone she meets (2 legged and 4 legged) and just wants to be close to her person. She could likely fit well into lots of different types of family situations including extended families and those with children. Ruby can be a little vocal so may not be ideal for condo or apartment settings. She is leash trained, house trained and somewhat crate trained but also can be allowed to free roam in the house without issue. Ruby is 6 years old and around 12 lbs and got a dental while in rescue. She also is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Ruby is weak in her back knees and might require surgery at some point in the future. Ruby would love a home where someone is there most of the time.
