He had a rough start to life and was abused but that didn’t stop him from rising to the occasion and becoming the most sweet, loving, affectionate, nurturing, endearing, playful and happy go lucky puppy! He has a bubbly vibrant energy and definitely still has puppy energy so he would need someone who can keep up with him but he loves being around people & is very well trained! He loves animals of all kinds as well and even with his sad beginning and tragic start to life nothing deterred or halted his endless happiness and progress! He is such a wonderful dog! Whoever adopts him is getting not just a companion but an amazing best friend!

**Meet RJ – Looking for His Forever Home** RJ is a 3-year-old dog with a big heart and lots of energy. He loves to run and would do best with an active person or family who can provide regular exercise and attention. RJ is housebroken, knows basic commands, and gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys companionship and would benefit from continued training and guidance to help him reach his full potential. RJ has lived with cats and has done well around them. He was typically kept on leash indoors as part of his training and to prevent chasing behaviors, but he has shown positive interactions with the cats in the home. As with any new pet introduction, supervision is recommended. RJ is not a good fit for a home with rabbits or other small prey animals due to his strong prey drive. Due to health issues, I can no longer provide RJ with the activity he deserves. He needs a loving home with someone who has the time, energy, and commitment to help him thrive.

Callie is energetic, athletic, and loves to run—she is incredibly fast! She would thrive with an active person or family who can give her regular exercise and outdoor time. Despite her energy, she also has a calm side and enjoys relaxing with her people. She is friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. Beautiful Wynter is ready to make your family complete! Wynter is a 3-year-old, 20-pound, mostly white Poodle mix with a gentle soul and so much love to give. She arrived at AFC as a stray, covered in fleas and ticks, with her hair cut very short. She came in alongside Willow, who we believe may be her daughter. Despite her rough start, Wynter is slowly learning what it means to feel safe, cared for, and loved. This shy sweetheart will need a patient, experienced owner who can help her blossom into the pampered princess she deserves to be. Once she trusts you, Wynter’s playful side shines through — especially when it’s time for walks or zoomies around the sanctuary yard! She walks nicely on leash, uses the doggie door, and is learning the routine of going outside on command. Wynter is also quite the talker and loves to express herself, so she would do best in a house rather than an apartment or condo.
