Story
Chase loves napping, laying on the porch outside, getting chased around the house or yard - that is how he got his name, sleeping in bed. Chase needs a family that does not get a lot of visitors. He is territorial and needs time to get used to new faces. Once he is used to someone, he warms up great. A family that is home with him the majority of the day. He is a pandemic dog (born in 2020) and has had someone home with him daily, until recently, for the past 5-years. A home with little carpet or patient owners. He is house trained but will likely mark his spot on carpet, if it is available. Chase is great with our children and their friends but he is food aggressive with table food (not dog food) and he will bite if someone tries to take food from him. Children in the home would need to understand that. Chase is almost 6 years old and weighs approximately 11-12 lbs.

🐾 Phoenix Is Now Available for Adoption 🐾 Overcoming every odd stacked against him, Phoenix is the true definition of resilience. He came into the shelter with an embedded collar, later escaped his new owner and survived on his own for three solid months in Titusville, battled heartworms, and had to learn—slowly—that people can be safe. Despite everything he’s been through, Phoenix continues to rise. Today, he is still a very timid and easily scared boy, but he has made incredible progress and is becoming more comfortable around people each day. With patience, consistency, and love, Phoenix’s gentle spirit truly shines. 🏡 Phoenix would do best with: Children over the age of 4 Another dog to help boost his confidence A calm, understanding home willing to let him warm up at his own pace 🐕 UTD on all shots, prevention and is neutered and microchipped. 🐱 Cats: Unknown — he has never been around them. Once Phoenix trusts you, the bond is something truly special. He may take time to settle in, but he will make a deeply loyal and loving companion for the right family. He didn’t just survive — he rose.
