Kenny surrendered to us when his owner had trouble housebreaking him. He is approximately 6 months old. He is a Cavapoo and weights 15 pounds at last vet visit on 5/27/2006. He is a very sweet and friendly puppy. He has had a few vet visits, so far he has received 3 distemper shots, rabies shot, bordetella, Pyrantel and Panacure, flea preventative, heartworm meds. He will be neutered and microchipped when we receive an appointment from one of our vets. This will be included in the adoption fee. We are working on housebreaking and leash walking. We are looking for families committed to house training and helping them adjust to home life. We are a private rescue organization rather than a shelter. We had to cover out-of-pocket costs to ensure our dogs receive the care they need before adoption. Our primary mission is helping dogs on euthanasia list and those with medical needs; your adoption donation directly supports these efforts as well.

Story
Gordo will be 12 years old on June 11. He is sweet and loves to cuddle. He has had the same owner since he was a puppy. We have a 3 year old and 1 year old. When our son was born, he was indifferent to him but mostly enjoyed playing with him. Now I think in his older age, he is frustrated and doesn’t know how to interact with them. He frequently nips at them and has bit them when they walk past with food or if they startle him. He is always sweet with adults, but with his older age he is bothered and upset by toddlers. I think he would be happy with children in middle school, but not with young children. When we are out on walks, people often mistake him for a puppy. He is full of life and very energetic but he is clearly showing signs of aging specifically in the way he interacts with young children.
