She’s not the kind of dog who will be in your lap on day one, but every little milestone she reaches is incredibly rewarding. She loves the company of other dogs and gets along well with cats. A calm, confident canine companion would be a wonderful role model and help Chelsea continue to gain confidence. Chelsea is looking for a quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. If you believe the best things in life are worth waiting for, Chelsea may be the perfect addition to your family. Polly is looking for her next home. She is a 9#, 10 year old Maltese/Poodle (maltipoo) mix. She was a former mill mama, adopted by her loving owner 5 years ago. Her owner died unexpectedly, and Polly came back to us.Polly lived with Ariana (posted separately) for those 5 years if you are looking for a pair of dogs. But either dog would be ok separately as well. Polly should live with at least one other dog though. Polly is playful and sweet but a little hand shy still. She does well with brushing and grooming. She`ll need regular grooming every 6-8 weeks. She`s getting the hang of potty outside with a regular schedule. She sleeps well overnight in a kennel with Ariana but I think she`s prefer sleeping in bed with her person if she could. She doesn`t necessarily enjoy car rides but settles down in the kennel. She is generally quiet but will alert bark and loudly greet you upon your arrival at home. Polly is healthy and just had a dental in March with great teeth.. Polly (and Ariana) is fostered in Middleton WI through New Beginnings Shih Tzu Rescue. Apply to adopt at nbstr.org
