Lucy is incredibly smart. She loves hard. Give the biggest hugs. She will even jump into your arms and be held like a baby. LOVES to play fetch. She could do that for hours. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over. Not a very good walking dog. She plays very good with kids and most other dogs. She is the friendliest dog when you take her to dog play places. Our other dog she is not a fan of and unfortunately due to our living situation and close quarters we cannot keep Lucy. We have all her paperwork. She is fine to stay with us for a while she is just having to be kept separate and not let out to run around or play as much as we know she deserves. She really is a good dog. Her smarts get her in trouble but if someone has time to spend with her she with be the most sweet loyal dog.

She said I'm a wonderful running buddy! I stayed on the same side the whole time, didn't hesitate and didn't get scared by anything I saw on the jog, and I listened when Arielle asked me to "leave it" when we saw squirrels (what self control, am I right?!).I know how to sit as soon as you reach for the treat pouch, so I was good at waiting at crossings. This handsome boy is Bentley. He is about two years old. He came to the shelter as a stray. Bentley was very shy and nervous around people, loud sounds and fast movements. We worked with Bentley and he did come out of his shell with certain employees and volunteers. We had him going to our shelter training classes. He loves agility and started to learn a few commands. We had a wonderful foster family take him in to see how he would do in a home environment because he was still very shy and reserve. His foster dad said he is slow to attach to people but once he does you can't get rid of him. He loves belly rubs and cuddles. He has done well with the other dog in the household. He loves riding in the truck and just hops right in. Bentley is looking for his new forever home. He is still taking the training classes. He is nervous in the shelter. I think it is because he thinks he might get left behind. He has made progress in the foster and we believe with time, patience and love he will come to love living with you and your family.
