Meet Bubba!This thick, handsome boy came to PCHS from an impound. Bubba is estimated to be between 6-8 years of age and is around 87 pounds! Bubba appears to be a Chesapeake Bay Retriever or an English Labrador Retriever, but we do not know for sure. Bubba was in desperate need of some medical attention when he arrived. He had a severe double ear infection and very inflamed and itchy skin. He is on the mend and starting to feel better with some much needed medications. Bubba has thickened ears likely due to untreated hematomas over the years. He also seems to have struggled with skin allergies for some time. He was recently started on an allergy medication and his new owners will need to be committed to giving him this medication for the rest of his life. Bubba is sweet, affectionate, and enjoys going on walks. He seems to do okay with other dogs, and with proper introductions he may be able to live with cats as well. HI - I'M VITO! I'm a cute all-white 1-1/2-year-old Chihuahua, likely mixed with Italian Greyhound due to my longer legs! I'm a sweet, sweet boy - I get along great with other dogs and I love people. I was found as a stray and my owners were never found - so now I'm ready for a new start on life. If you'd like to adopt me, please email for an application. I weigh only 12 lbs. I'm currently in California but can be transported to you in Minnesota.

Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
