Meet Bubba!This thick, handsome boy came to PCHS from an impound. Bubba is estimated to be between 6-8 years of age and is around 87 pounds! Bubba appears to be a Chesapeake Bay Retriever or an English Labrador Retriever, but we do not know for sure. Bubba was in desperate need of some medical attention when he arrived. He had a severe double ear infection and very inflamed and itchy skin. He is on the mend and starting to feel better with some much needed medications. Bubba has thickened ears likely due to untreated hematomas over the years. He also seems to have struggled with skin allergies for some time. He was recently started on an allergy medication and his new owners will need to be committed to giving him this medication for the rest of his life. Bubba is sweet, affectionate, and enjoys going on walks. He seems to do okay with other dogs, and with proper introductions he may be able to live with cats as well. While we do not know a lot about his back story, we do know that he is a young boy who has a contagious enthusiasm for life! It is hard to not smile when you are around Tank as he can brighten even the gloomiest of days with his silly antics and loving personality. Tank is a playful and energetic boy who would love a home where he can play with toys, go for walks, and maybe even wrestle with a canine friend. Tank is a big boy and may be a little too much for smaller kids - especially since he thinks he is a lap dog! Meet sweet Lana.Lana came to PCHS from a valued southern rescue partner when she was found all alone in a kids playground. She was taken in to the vet to treat her for some ectoparasites (fleas and ticks) while she waited for her family to come and claim her. Unfortunately for Lana, her family never came for her. This definetly bummed her out as she is a little stressed out in the kennel environment, but we are hoping we can work together to make Lana`s stay with us short!Lana is estimated to be around 2 years old and appears to be some sort of lab/terrier type mix, but we really don`t know for sure. What we do know, is that she is very smart, driven, food motivated, and she wants nothing more than to be out of her kennel and spending time with people instead. It is believed that Lana would do well with a canine companion in her forever home. She has not been cat tested at this time. Meet Beau!This boy is a pure bred yellow lab who found his way to PCHS when he needed a change of scenery. Beau is coming up on 5 yrs old and is a big boy weighing over 100 pounds. Overall, this boy is a gentle giant. He loves to be with people and get attention. He walks well on leash and would enjoy being a leisurely walking partner. Beau was not getting along with the other dog in his original home and does not enjoy the company of other dogs. He would prefer to be the `one and only` in his new forever home. ***Beau would be best suited in a home as an only pet. He would also prefer a home with older kids or no kids as he does not always realize his size***If Beau sounds like he could be a good match for you, apply online today!
