Pastry 1.5yr Lab/Chessie/Plott Hound mix Male. $200 plus tax, 61lbs. Very sweet, playful happy go lucky little boy. Newer to the shelter, unk with kids/cats. Does well with other dogs! Does act like a fool in his kennel, but the second he gets out he is such a wonderful boy. We don`t blame him for how he acts in the kennel. We wouldn`t like it either.We do our very best in providing truthful information about our adoptable dogs. If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Meet Velma, a 6 year old 55 pound petite Lab mix with a heart as big as her smile! This sweet girl is potty trained, enjoys all the treats, and loves lounging on the couch just as much as she loves her daily walks. She’s done great living with other large dogs and has shown patience and adaptability once given time to settle in. Velma would thrive in a calm home with a patient, experienced adopter—preferably without cats—and would do best with older, respectful kids. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who enjoys snuggles and strolls, Velma might be your perfect match!   Age: 6 Breed: Lab Mix Weight: 56 lbs Kid-friendly: Recommend older considerate children Dogs: Yes Cats: Recommend a home without cats, as she loves to chase them. At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Bandit is a 10-year-old, 68 lb Lab mix with the heart and humor of a 7th-grade boy — goofy, loving, and learning every day. He’s loyal to his circle and eager to find his forever family who’ll include him in all their adventures. Bandit thrives on activity — running next to an ATV, swimming, or playing fetch are his absolute favorites — and after a good workout, he’s the happiest, most relaxed boy around. He’s great with other dogs (he currently lives with two seniors), does well with kids, and loves meeting new people. Potty trained and kennel trained, Bandit does fine in the house for several hours and sleeps soundly in his own bed at night.
