Bandit is a 10-year-old, 68 lb Lab mix with the heart and humor of a 7th-grade boy — goofy, loving, and learning every day. He’s loyal to his circle and eager to find his forever family who’ll include him in all their adventures. Bandit thrives on activity — running next to an ATV, swimming, or playing fetch are his absolute favorites — and after a good workout, he’s the happiest, most relaxed boy around. He’s great with other dogs (he currently lives with two seniors), does well with kids, and loves meeting new people. Potty trained and kennel trained, Bandit does fine in the house for several hours and sleeps soundly in his own bed at night. If you’re looking for a loyal, joyful, active companion who’ll make you laugh and love you endlessly, Bandit’s your guy! Story
Meet Luna! Luna has been described as affectionate, warm, and cuddly. She LOVES to go on walks and car rides! She knows sit, stay, and lay down; she is eager to learn more and is very motivated by hot dogs. When outside on a sunny day, she can be found chasing bird shadows! She enjoys being close to her owners. Luna has had mixed interactions with other dogs; she has done well at a doggy day care but does not like to share her home with other dogs. She may prefer to be a solo dog. She can be nervous with new people, but she will warm up with patience and a gentle approach. She has not met cats or young children. All introductions to new places and faces should be done slowly. Ask a TCHS staff member for details! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Meet Otis! Otis is used to being a rural/farm dog and would enjoy to have a similar lifestyle in a new home. Otis enjoys treats and squishy ball toys. He knows sit and is eager to learn more (who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!). He has lived with other dogs and farm animals; he was both friendly and playful with them! He does not do well with cats and should not go home with small animals. He has not met children. He is quite nervous with new people and animals, so introductions should be slow to ensure a successful transition. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. Story
Location: Foster to Adopt option! Can be fostered in MN, SD, IA, WI, or NE *ARRIVING 6/17* Rocky is sweet and cuddly. He loves sleeping in the bed with his human. He is doing well with potty training and making great strides. He is kennel trained and does not have accidents in his crate, but it is possible for some puppies to regress in some areas when transitioning to a new home. He enjoys playing with other dogs but would much prefer being with his human! He hasn’t had a chance to work on leash training with his current foster but he sleeps in the kennel every night. He is also in and out of the kennel during the day. No cats in foster home but they are still young enough to be positively introduced! Rocky is ecstatic about his big move from Texas to the midwest! He knows his forever family is up here waiting for him. Rocky is scheduled to arrive in Minnesota by June 17th. Apply to foster to adopt today! For more information on FTA, visit: https://rescuenetworkmn.org/foster-to-adopt/ --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Martin. He is the perfect gentleman. He has soulful eyes, a velvety red coat and an adorable white tip on his feather-like tail. Martins Highlights: *NICKNAME: “Mardy” *BREED: certified 100% good boy! *ENERGY LEVEL: Moderate! A fenced yard to handle my zoomies would be great. I like to play fetch (a.k.a. keep away!), tug on the rope, and spend time doing whatever you are doing. I have fantastic leash skills and walking is a favorite. *KIDS: I need children 5+. Toddlers make me uncomfortable, but I do well around my foster's son who is 4-years-old. I would be suited for kids that understand boundaries and can give good belly rubs! *DOG FRIENDS: I prefer smaller dog pals. With proper introduction, I have done well with larger dogs if they are calm and respectful. I haven’t shown much interest in the cats, but that could change. Supervision is probably best. *TRAINING: I am potty trained, a little vocal about my needs, not destructive, and know basic commands. I am treat motivated, so teaching me new things will be easy! I also have great recall! *WARNING: Meeting me will cause immediate attachment and adoration! I am fun, loyal and looking to complete your family. Whether it’s walking the neighborhood, playing in the yard or snuggling on the couch, I would love being a part of your pack. I am eager to meet you, don’t wait, apply today! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Saint Peter, MN Michelangelo is a sweet, goofy, and handsome boy! He is a bit shy when you first meet him, but he quickly warms up to you. He is curious about what you are doing, but will keep his distance while he checks out what’s going on. Once he gets close to you, he will happily wag his tail and want neck and belly scratches. When it’s time to play, he loves to play with toys and his brother Raphael! Michelangelo has been doing great with potty training. He has only had one accident in the house due to a timing issue, otherwise he is very good about going outside. He does great on a leash when walking to his potty spot. Unsure about how he would do in a kennel, but he is currently staying in his foster home’s kitchen and does great left alone. He makes no noise and usually just lays on his doggy bed. He is a gentle boy and so sweet. He would make a great addition to any home! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Location: St Peter, MN Raphael is a big sweet boy who wants to be your little shadow. He wants to be part of everything you are doing and just wants to sit or lay by your feet at all times. He loves attention and loves getting kisses and pets! He also loves playing with his brother Michelangelo. Raphael is doing amazing with potty training, he has not had a single accident in the house!
