Say hello to George! He came to TCHS as a stray, so not much is known of his past. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. George has been a very sweet boy since coming in! He would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep him entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Location: Richfield, MN The most special man in the world, Bodie. 🥹 When Bodie came into our home, he was visibly defeated in many ways. Sad droopy eyes, insanely itchy, he couldn’t believe he was able to go outside multiple times a day and defaulted to going into his kennel because that’s all he knew. It took only a couple days for him to realize he was saved and welcomed into the good life. He is truly the best dog anyone could ask for. Bodie shares a foster home with 4 other dogs and 6 cats. He gets along with everyone with absolutely no worries. He is kennel trained as he feels safe and comfortable in there. He sleeps through the night peacefully and is completely potty trained. He loves to lay out in the grass and soak up all the sun. Location: Beresford, SD Ivan is shy at first but warms up quickly. He has gotten along great with our resident two dogs and three cats. He likes to play with our little dog and prefers his people over toys or treats. He’s pretty quirky and likes to sleep with his head off of the bed. He doesn’t like to be away from people but we have been working with him on his confidence. He walks well on a leash and does well in our yard.
