Story
Sweet as can beBeautiful, sweet, calm, and smart, Sadie. Meet Sadie — the sweetest golden-eyed girl looking for a real forever home. Sadie’s story hasn’t been easy, but her heart is still full of love. She was first dumped as a puppy, then adopted by someone who neglected her. She wasn’t fed or cared for, and when she developed an infection after her spay, she didn’t receive the medical care she needed. She was eventually returned to the shelter, where she ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Sadie was rescued just in time and is now thriving in foster care in Northern California. Sadie is about 3 years old, a beautiful fawn-colored Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Weimeraner mix with soulful golden eyes. She’s incredibly sweet, eager to please, and ready to finally be loved the way she’s always deserved. This girl will make a wonderful, loyal companion for someone who wants a best friend by their side. &#226&#156&#168 Age: 3 years &#226&#156&#168 Breed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Weimeraner... &#226&#156&#168 Temperament: Sweet, affectionate, eager to please &#226&#156&#168 Location: Northern California foster If you’re ready to give Sadie the forever home she’s been waiting for, apply today and let her story have the happy ending it deserves.March 16, 2026, 5:30 pm

Story
This handsome 11-month-old chocolate Lab mix is all heart and all puppy. After being adopted, he was recently returned through no fault of his own because his family felt he was "too much work." The truth is, he's exactly what you'd expect from an adolescent Lab mix—active, playful, eager to learn, and full of love.He is an affectionate boy who wants to be part of everything you're doing. Whether he's following you from room to room, curling up beside you after a day of adventures, or making you laugh with his goofy antics, he's happiest when he's with his people. One of his greatest qualities is how well he gets along with other dogs. He loves having a canine playmate to romp around with but also understands when it's time to be gentle. He's respectful of older dogs and enjoys making new friends, making him a wonderful companion for the right canine sibling. He's crate trained and has a solid foundation of good manners. Like any young dog, he'll continue to benefit from consistency, structure, regular exercise, and positive reinforcement training as he finishes maturing. At 11 months old, he's entering a fun stage where his personality is shining through, but he still has some puppy energy to burn. His ideal home will:Embrace the fun and energy of an adolescent dog.Provide daily exercise, enrichment, and continued training.Include a playful canine companion or an active family willing to keep him engaged.Be committed to helping him grow into the incredible adult dog we know he'll become. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy, a snuggle partner, and a dog who will love you with his whole heart, this sweet chocolate boy is ready for his second chance. Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and fostered in loving homes where they are treated like family while practicing important socialization skills. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
