This handsome and sweet boy is almost a year old and his dream is to be able to celebrate his first birthday with his forever family. Or, since his first birthday is right around the corner, heâ€™d love to spend every birthday thereafter with his family.Kringle is in training classes learning even more manners and meeting new friends. He is generally excited to meet new people but can also sometimes take a bit to warm up, so it is important to take things slow. Once he is warms up, he is an affectionate, loving, and goofy boy with a lot of personality. He is mostly potty-trained (only the very occasional accident), loves food, toys, playing, and more often than not, walks like a gentleman on a leash. He currently lives with two large female dogs and has found his place with them as part of the pack. He is good with the cats he has been around. He loves his people and adores kids. In fact, he loves his people so much he has a hard time being apart from them.He is a young dog with puppy behaviors so will need training and boundaries, as well as working on his confidence, socialization, and manners. We received a plea from a local shelter: can you PLEASE take in two labs, likely purebred. The female is pregnant and needs a place to deliver and raise her puppies!Knowing we are always easy marks, of course we said "yes" and Clair and Clifford Huxtable were brought to Boxers and Buddies. And just in time too! Less than 12 hours after arriving, Mama gave birth to 10 little pups. Mom and pups are doing great. Story

Cannoli is an obedient, quick learning little lady with an obsession for fetch. Loves trips to the beach, lakes, or any available water source in which she can swim for sticks. Though she is a sweet, loyal dog, she does at time have quirks. She is not good with children or most other dogs, and needs time to warm up to new people (petting). She’s unbelievably smart, so we think some of her behaviors may be socialized/trainable but we don’t have the resources or skills to do that ourselves. We got her from a duck dog trainer located in North County San Diego, and she has very basic beginnings of retriever training. Her ideal situation would be an active family with no children or other dogs in the home. We are terribly sad to see her go, but we are planning to start a family. Cannoli is currently located in the Truckee / Tahoe area but we are willing to travel if need be to find her the right home.
