Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Looking for the right home for our Baylor boy. He is 5 years old. We love this guy but he is not living his best life here with us, with our ever changing life, Baylor is no longer in a home that suites him. Baylor has some health concerns but nothing too terrible. He has a heart murmur; the heart murmur does not impact him when playing or really in any situation but vets do notice it. He also has allergies that cause ear infections and takes a monthly shot to help this! If you keep up with his shots he seems to not have issues. The shot is about $150 a month. If interested we can talk more about this. Baylor is very anxious and needs to be the only dog in the home. Other dogs really scare Baylor. Outside of other dogs, Baylor does well with training. He is highly trainable and he is 100% potty trained. Baylor is a sweet dog that loves cuddles and love. We really want him to go to the best home possible.
