WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gable - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Named after a real life 'ladies man' Clark Gable, this here ladies man is ready to let all that be 'Gone With The Wind' and to settle down in a loving home. I want to say goodbye to 'Love On The Run' and just enjoy my belly rubs, ear scratches and some of those nice tasty treats. This family life is going to be all that, like being given the 'Key To The City'!! Here at my new foster home, I’m happily browsing around for any kind of yummy smells but when my foster mom says the word “ride” I jump in the truck lickety split. Going for a ride is one of my favorite things, making me a pawsome co-pilot. I come in at about 45 pounds and at around 5 years young, I still love having a blast going on adventures! My salt and pepper muzzle gives me a very distinguished look that the ladies tend to love (what can I say, this Gable has still got it!!), along with my 'turn you to mush' expressive eyes, I am just too handsome, what's not to love! I really really enjoy my cuddle time and will sit patiently waiting for my time to get me some lovins! I love to curl up right next to you and get as close as possible. And oh, did I mention how I will do anything for belly rubs?!!!! This ole boy hasn't let life get me down. 'It Happened One Night', I found myself in the local doggie jail, thinking I was gonna be doing 10 to life, but the judge was lenient and I'm out on parole for good behavior (and I really am a good boy!). I'm a very laid back and mellow fella, going with the flow, not wanting to make any extra work, which makes for me to be a great family addition even for a first time pet parent. Does I sound like a good fit for your family, I sure do hope so?! Please fill out my adoption application and let’s get me a 'Homecoming'...to your home!!!

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cub - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Howdy!! My name is Cub and I am an 8 month old Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix!! What a winning combination:) I gets my smarts and love of people from the world's most popular dog (the Lab) and my cute slightly squished visage from the beautiful Boxer!! Foster Mum says I am the easiest and most loving pup she has ever fostered!! I walk on and off leash and go directly to my play yard after our walks to the river are finished...I don't run around and make Foster Mum chase after me like some of the pups. She tells me "Cub, go to your yard" and I go directly without hesitation. I am leash trained, crate trained and house trained. I know basic human speak and try really hard to please my Foster family. Did I mention that I LOVE going to the river on our daily walks? I love the cool flow of the river and will sink into it up to my ears :) My second favorite activity is to carry toys around in my mouth to show them to everyone I meet!! I don't tear up my toys, I just carry them carefully and walk up to everyone to show them my prize (we didn't have toys in the joint, so I am grateful for these blessings!) I am mostly fully growed at 42 pounds, so I am the perfect sized medium dog to snuggle with on the couch and join you on action adventure hikes and overnights. My life didn't start off great, but I am a "glass is half full" kinda dog!! I was found as a stray at the tender age of 8 weeks, and stayed at the shelter for 4 months...until a volunteer for Hay Dude sprung me out and brought me to the ranch. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the ranch!! I have always had a happy go lucky, joy filled personality (even during my unjust incarceration!). Living with my Foster family on the ranch is fabulous, but my dream is to have that special person (or persons) with whom to share my life. If you have been searching for the ideal dog who is grateful, funny, and fun loving, your search is over!! Please fill out my online application and adopt me today!

Hello! My name is Dawson! If my striking eyes don`t steal your heart first, my amazing personality will! I am oh so affectionate; I love cuddles, snuggles, hugs, kisses, pets, pats, scratchies, more cuddles, and a dash of extra snuggles too. I am very loving, goofy, and have some of the best zoomies you`ve ever seen! I love my favorite people, but it can take me a little bit to warm up to new strangers. I would love a home with humans to hug, and prefer if they are teens to adults. I play with dogs here and love it! I pick and choose which dogs are my friends (just like people do) and need to be in a home with a fenced yard so I have plenty of room to zoom and play. I like to chase small animals, so bigger dogs are better for me. I know sit, paw, and love to go on walks. Come meet me today and fall in love! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2022 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
Hello! My name is Guiness. My journey to the shelter was a scary one; I was found abandoned in the woods, so terrified I wouldn`t even walk. When I got to the shelter, I was still so confused. How did I get here again? Why am I here? Who are all these people? I found one shelter friend first, then another, then another. I slowly began trusting the staff and they introduced me to some cool canine friends too. I am currently looking for a forever family who can understand where I came from, and dream with me for where I can someday be: the happiest dog who forgot all about the shelter. What the staff say about me:`Guiness is a special boy. It is pretty incredible to see photos and videos of when he first arrived, frozen and hunkered down. He did not know what to do with people paying him any kind of attention. He has had a rough life, we can tell, but he is still so full of life too! Guiness has the best zoomies, the funniest quirks, and the most beautiful face. He loves to be brushed, go on walks, and play in the sunshine. He needs someone who has been around fearful dogs before, who knows how to give him the best kind of unconditional love: patience. Guiness will always be Guiness, but we hope to see him continue coming out of his shell more and more.`*** I am currently in a foster home. Please call to schedule an appointment to meet me***If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
Hello, my name is Sinclair. I`m looking for a family who understands older dogs and wants to provide me with a cozy retirement home. The staff are very much in love with me; they are always looking for ways to cheer me up or brighten my days (they worry that an old dog like me won`t get adopted for a while), but truly just spending time with them is all I need; they make me so happy and it is so nice to have friends. The staff started to notice some changes in me and asked a behavior consultant and our medical team to give me a good once-over. They found out that I was in pain (this old body just ain`t what it used to be). I`ve started pain management medicines and they`ve helped so much! I`ve got spring in my step, a smile on my face, and the excitement of a much younger me. My forever home will be all about me, from sunrise until sunset. No other animals to steal my thunder, no crazy kids to ache my bones, and no shortage of tasty treats. The staff here have been teaching this old dog new tricks! They`re teaching me how to crate train, walk gently on a leash, and so much more. My secret? I`ve been teaching these young whippersnappers some of my own tricks! I taught them how to see when I am in pain, I explained to them that sometimes I don`t want my food touched (but I`m good with communicating that politely), and even trained them to realize when I need a `couch potato` day to rest my body. They`re pretty smart, if I do say so myself. I love picking out new toys, snuggling on a cozy blanket or rug, and playing with my bone. If the staff could pick one word to describe me, it would be: happy. If I could pick one word to describe me, it would be: hopeful. I know my family is out there somewhere, willing to take an old man like me into their homes and hearts, despite my age and what it means. I know they are out there, because the staff promise me every day that my family will be here soon. And what I`ve learned after all these months, after all my lessons, exams, consults, and talks...my staff don`t give up and they don`t break any of their promises. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Hello, my name is Willow! I am so sweet, the best gal pal around, and full of love. I get along great with cats, love exploring the outdoors, zoom around and play with my favorite humans, and meet new friends every day. I`m smart and love to learn, ready to snuggle all day too! Come meet me today if you think I could be the girl for you!Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings.
