Rosemary came to us from a connection and a newtork of dog loving animal welfare supporters in the DFW area. She has been living on the street on her own for five years, and in that time she had 3 litters of puppies that were all taken into homes or into rescue care. It was finally Rosemary's turn with the dedicated help of some amazing people and a professional trapper.  She was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment. SHe has come such a long way form being a frightened little lump in a private room to the happy girl she is today.  While Rosemary has made extravagant strides in the direction of being accustomed to living indoors, she is still frightened by quick movements or loud sounds. She will need a very specific home willing to continue working with her - perhaps for the rest of her life - on learning how ot be a dog and a dog living in a home. I am a big boned girl looking for an exercise buddy. You see I need to lose a little weight, well, okay about 20 pounds would be great. I need someone who would like to go for easy walks as I get back in shape. A nice yard to spend time in,even some doggy enrichment toys to help me be active. If you would like to come by and meet me I would really love it. Right now I weight 70 pounds!
