Story
Meet June June is an 8-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever whose world was turned upside down when her family moved and decided she couldn’t come along. She ended up in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own, but she has proven to be everything you’d hope for in a gentle, older retriever.   What makes June amazing: Housebroken and never destructive Good with all animals she meets—even small children Quiet, calm, and the perfect houseguest Walks beautifully on leash and rides wonderfully in the car June is a sweetheart through and through—loyal, steady, and endlessly kind. She deserves a family who will treasure her golden years and give her the love she’s always given so freely. Apply to adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13108/generic ##2537951##

🐾 Meet Tucker! Tucker is a 2-year-old neutered male Yellow Lab/Pit mix with a heart full of love and a serious obsession with fetch! He’s house-trained, knows basic commands (sit, down, wait), and at night he’s a total cuddle bug. He does great with cats and female dogs, but he prefers to have his toys and food to himself, so he’s best as a solo dog. Tucker is not a fan of squirrels or farm animals, and since he's still learning recall, a fenced yard is a must. He’s heartworm negative and up-to-date on all vaccines. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’ll love you endlessly and keep you laughing with his goofy charm, Tucker is your guy! 📍Currently being fostered and available for meet-and-greets! - Happy to meet you where you are if needed, TX 💛 Why you’ll love Tucker: Knows “sit,” “down,” “wait,” and is fully house-trained! Cat-friendly ✅ Loves female dogs ✅ Snuggle bug supreme ✅ Up-to-date on all vaccines & heartworm negative ✅

Story
Meet Leroy &#194&#150 A Gentle Giant Ready for His Second Chance Leroy is a handsome 6 year old male Lab mix weighing approximately 85 pounds who is now officially available for adoption after completing his stray hold. He was found on Lake Estates Drive in Rockwall on 11/18/25 wearing a collar and with an unregistered microchip, but sadly no owner came forward. Leroy is a sweet, calm, and gentle soul who has quickly won over the hearts of our staff. He has wonderful manners for a large dog and enjoys human companionship. His easygoing personality makes him a joy to be around. Medical Disclosure: During recent diagnostic imaging related to his right leg, our veterinary team noted findings that may be consistent with cardiomyopathy. At this time, this is a suspected condition based on X-rays, and further cardiac evaluation will be recommended for his adopter to determine long-term management and care. Leroy will benefit from a family who is willing to: Provide continued veterinary follow-up Monitor his activity level as advised by a veterinarian Offer him a calm, loving home where he can thrive Leroy tested positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment is sponsored and can begin immediately. If you have any question about heartworms or Walter's treatment please feel free to ask staff. Despite this medical concern, Leroy remains a happy, affectionate boy who deserves a safe, loving home to spend his days in comfort and security. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine, Bordetella, and DAPPV. If you are interested in giving Leroy the forever home he deserves, please submit an adoption application through the Rockwall Adoption Center.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. Story
Meet Scar! Hi there! My name is Scar, and I'm a 1-year-old Lab/Pit mix with a heart as big as my smile. I was surrendered to the Rockwall Adoption Center after my adventurous spirit got the best of me&#194&#151I couldn't resist sneaking out of the yard to go play with the farm animals next door! I'm a sweet but slightly shy boy who just needs a little time to warm up. Once I do, you'll see what a loving, loyal companion I can be. According to my previous owner, I get along with other dogs, cats, and children, so I'd fit right into a happy, active household. I have lived with my sibling Draco my whole life, so I am used to having another dog companion around. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on my core boosters including rabies, and heartworm negative. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle companion who's ready to trade his farm adventures for family snuggles, I'd love to meet you!
