Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. Barkley is sparkly. She is a sparkle barkle. Big cuddle bug that wants to be in your lap and will follow you around the home. She loves to play inthe kiddy pool, chase balls, and play tug of war, and enjoys rahide bones, plastic bottles, and soft toys. When she was 8 months old she had professional dog training. She remembers much of what she learned such as she can walk on a leash, does not jump on people, sit, down, stay and load, especially with a treat. She goes to the door or begins pacing if she needs out. She had one female pup from an American bull dog. That 7 month old pup is up for adaption too.

Timber's only flaw is she needs to be fed by herself as we believe she was starved before. She is a lovely dog and so very gentle.
