Meet Rowdy! This sweet pup was surrendered through no fault of his own and is eager for a chance to bring joy to a new family. Rowdy loves going on walks! He is very attentive to directions and eager to please his human. This lovable boy absolutely thrives on human interaction and enjoys playing fetch and catching toys. Rowdy is very gentle when taking treats and toys alike and will 'sit', 'paw', and 'lay down' when asked. He is house trained and was also raised with young children and dogs and adored both. Rowdy is a well-behaved, lovable pup who would be great in any family. Come in and meet him today!

If interested in adopting please check our adoption process in the "about" section on our Facebook page and fill out an adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/212979324392060 Meet and greets are by appointment only with an approved application. Potential adopter is asked to travel to foster home for meet and greet. Transport is provided at no cost for adoption trials. Adopters are offered (4) FREE 1 hour training sessions with our partnered trainer after the adoption is finialized. These sessions are offered in person if local to Hampton Roads area of VA or if out of the area, online sessions are available. Name: Delinda Age: 1 year Weight: 50 pounds Color: brown/white Breed: Lab mix Vaccines: up to date Altered: yes Heartworm Status: negative Energy Level: active House trained: pending Crate trained: pending Dog friendly: yes, likes to play rough. Would do best with someone who likes to play. She was used as the dog tester for the shelter. She does not greet new dogs nicely, needs training with nice greetings. Cat friendly: yes seems afraid of them Kid friendly: yes, will jump though Temperament: sweet, playful, friendly Adoption fee: 275 Notes: This beautiful girl was due to euthanized 12 hours before we saved her due to space. She came from Texas which is overloaded with unwanted animals. Luckily she's no longer unwanted. Delinda is adorable. Full of energy so would enjoy a family that is active. She likes everyone she meets and does jump so we need to work on that. She walks nicely on a leash. Delinda was used as the dog tester in the shelter. She has done playtime with females and males with success. It takes a little bit for her to feel comfortable as when the dogs crowded her she would growl as she became nervous and uncomfortable. With slower introductions as she seems fearful of new dogs there should be no issues as she played chase with a young female shepherd and a hyper female hound. Delinda rides nicely in the car, she will curl up in the seat and enjoy the ride. Available for adoption anywhere in the US or Canada with transport provided
