Story
🐾 Loki – 4.9 lbs, 8 Weeks Old | Chi/Rat Terrier Mix Meet Loki, the fearless leader of the pack! If he’s awake, he’s bouncing — not running — think baby pygmy goat zoomies. Loki loves tug-of-war, collecting every toy in sight, and trying to convince his older foster siblings to play (they’re a little intimidated by his tiny-but-mighty energy). Cuddles? Absolutely… but only after he’s burned off some serious zoomies. Nap time is serious business, usually belly-up like the king he is. He’s currently using pee pads successfully, but is starting structured potty training now that quarantine is over and business needs to be handled outside. Expected Adult Size: 13–16 lbs Puppy Disclaimer: Loki is 8 weeks old and will need patience, consistency, and time to grow into a well-rounded pup. He’s full of personality, nonstop entertainment, and tiny joy — the perfect pint-sized companion for an active home. 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption. Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following: All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation. All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations. All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention. Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention. 👉 To start the adoption process, please fill out our application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WAG/Dog Please also take a moment to read our requirements located in the application. Please note: The dog you’re applying for may already have a meet-and-greet scheduled, be on a trial with another family, or have been offered to another rescue within our network. If that happens, don’t worry—we’re always happy to help you find another great match! Our goal is to make sure every pup ends up in the best home for their needs (and yours too!

Story
Meet Miller – a gentleman looking for his retirement home. 🤍 Miller is a 13–14 year old Chihuahua, about 13 pounds, who lost everything he knew when his owner passed away around Christmas last year. In an instant, his whole world changed. And now this quiet, dignified little soul is looking for a soft place to land for the rest of his golden years. Miller is as easy as they come. He is: Fully potty trained Non-destructive Quiet and settled Does not need a crate Goes outside, does his business, and comes right back when called Responds to his name Not barky He’s good with other dogs and actually needs another dog in the home — he does best with canine company. He will politely voice his opinion if another dog gets too enthusiastic about sniffing his ancestors or giving too many kisses, but it’s more grumpy grandpa energy than anything else. Miller isn’t a fan of being carried around and isn’t big on physical affection right now, but that may change once he fully trusts his person. What he does love is: Food (a lot) Finding and staying close to his person Peace and routine He’s sweet with strangers, but his heart belongs to one person once he bonds. A few important notes: He has cataracts in both eyes, but he can see. His night vision isn’t great… but honestly, that’s true for most of us over a certain age. He walks on a leash. A fenced yard would be beneficial, though not required. He’s not a big fan of car rides (yet). When you leave, he may whine a little — then he settles in and waits patiently. Miller would not do well with young children, lots of chaos, or a big pack of dogs. He is looking for a calm home, a steady routine, another gentle dog, and someone who understands that senior dogs don’t need much… just love, stability, and kindness. Miller isn’t asking for forever. He’s asking for the rest of his forever. And he promises to be the easiest, quietest, sweetest old man you could hope to share it with. 🐾🤍 🐾 Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following: All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation. Story
Meet Gucci Gucci is a 4-year-old, 7-pound Chihuahua mix with a gentle and loving soul.Gucci can be a little shy at first and needs a short warm-up period, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality truly shines. He enjoys calm companionship and would do best with a relaxed, quieter dog if there are other pups in the home. Since he wasn’t raised around other dogs, too much energy can feel intimidating for him.Gucci would thrive in a peaceful, low-key environment where he can receive plenty of attention, reassurance, and love. With patience and kindness, he becomes a devoted little companion who just wants to feel secure and cherished. If you’re looking for a small, gentle dog who will bond closely with you, Gucci may be your perfect match. Story
Let me reintroduce y’all to Ballerina Ballerina came into rescue in April of 2025 after having babies. All of her babies were lovingly raised and have long since moved on to their forever homes. Now it's about time she gets her turn!  Ballerina is a 9-pound Chihuahua mix who has never had a meet and greet. She is a shy girl at first and will need someone patient—someone willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust, without expecting too much too fast. But let me tell you about the Ballerina you get once she trusts you.You get a truly wonderful little girl who loves deeply. She gets excited to see you whether you’ve been gone 10 minutes or 10 hours. She loves to cuddle and will stick to you like glue. She is happiest at home, curled up on the couch, right next to her person.Ballerina is very crate trained and actually loves her crate. It’s her safe space where she goes to relax and decompress when she needs a little break, which helps her feel secure and settled.Ballerina would be perfect for someone who doesn’t have a lot of visitors and wants a loyal companion to spend their days with.Tired of using the bathroom alone? Get Ballerina.Tired of sleeping alone? Ballerina is happy to help.Need someone to cuddle with and watch TV? Ballerina.Want a pup you can carry around the house?
