Story
Blu, formerly Grumpy, was part of the Snow White litter of chi/terrier/poodle pups. Light brown, and with a streak of blue in his right eye.  He is now 3 yrs and 23 lbs. He was adopted as a pup and was later returned to B&B as he did not take to strangers.  He knows many commands and is now part of our 'house crew' where he is friendly with humans and all other k-9s.  He should have another dog (or more), probably bigger than him, in his furever home.  *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Story
Sweetness was rescued from the desert with her probable littermate in December of 2020.  It took tremendous repeated efforts to entice these girls into rescue crates - they were very frightened and untrusting. Back in September, her sister, Phoenix, was been adopted! Sweetness is still looking for her home. She bounces with excitement when she sees people she likes.  She's actually very adorable and looking for TLC and happy home where she can cuddle and play.  She plays with other small dogs, enjoys running around with them, and can be either energetic or laid back.  She needs a loving family.   Please find our applications and valuable information under  'Adopt a dog'* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Bandit is @3 years old and 13 lbs. House and leash trained, good with kids and dogs. His finders said he's a cuddler who loves playing fetch; but that he was also a digger and escape artist. Story
Peter Brady is the last remaining of the 6 Brady siblings. @14-15 lbs. 1 year old. Red and white. He can be a little shy at first, but he likes people and is ok with being picked up. Treats and playtime are the way to his heart! Peter is a good natured and well behaved little guy. He will likely need to leashtraining. He's done extremely well in our house and mingles well with the other dogs in the big front yard. He and his siblings came to us from our Tijuana rescue partner. The others, now adopted, were Greg, Marcia, Jan, Bobby, and Cindy. He is neutered and has his shots- he is ready for his new home! You may make an appointment to see him by emailing us at beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com and also sending an application found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under the "Adopt a dog" tab.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Story
Pippa, also called Ivy, is 1 and a half years old and 13 lbs. Chihuahua/rat terrier/poodle mix. House trained, crate trained. Pippa is playful and affectionate with people she knows. Loves toys. Good with kids, and she likes other dogs. She is shy in new situations and it will take time to warm up in a home; but once she does she is devoted to her people. She may be most comfortable if there are other young small dogs. She came with 3 sisters, who are all adopted. Pearl, Posy and Polly. They are all black except Pearl (light tan). Polly's family did a DNA test that showed their breeds. She is spayed and has her shots. Story
*COURTESY POST* Vinny is a courtesy post, he is not a Mountains Humane Society Pet Rescue animal Vinny's world came crashing down as his owner sadly passed away. Vinny needs a home asap or he will be going to the shelter where he won't have much of a chance. Vinny is a 2 1/2 year old chihuahua/corgie/shiba inu mix (best guess). He loves to get pets, go on walks and play with toys! He is happy sitting by his person and relaxing. His favorite place to sit was on the arm of the chair next to his dad. Vinny also enjoys watching TV and tilting his head to the sounds! Although Vinny likes other dogs, he would prefer being the only pet as he is used to all the attention. He is not good with cats. Vinny had some food aggression with people in the past, but has been good. He needs a quiet home with no kids. If you are interested in adopting Vinny, please fill out our K9 Courtesy Post Application on our website at: mountainshumanesociety.org
