Story
Mr. Sandman -EDOB 1/13/2013 male chihuahua mix Mr. Sandman is an adorable, low-riding senior. He is missing a few teeth, and appears hard of hearing, but he is a sweet, funny fellow! He is well-behaved, quiet, and loves cuddling with other nice dogs and even cats. What’s the catch? He’s afraid of being petted. He’ll follow you around the house, eat from your hand, crave your approval, but will avoid physical contact. Was he abused, severely neglected, or just a quirky little guy? We will never know his origin story, but what we do know is that this handsome cutie makes the perfect roommate. Will you be his patient, loving Forever Family?

Story
Sandy's adoption fee is $300 unless she goes to a senior and then it's $200 She does have an eye injury that we are treating. She was lost 3 years ago found herself in the pound as a senior, but was chipped so the original owners were found, but they had since gotten another dog that did not accept Sandy so they Surrendered her to find her a better placement. The adoption fee is a tax-deductible donation to our 501c3 rescue and includes vaccines, worming microchips, and spaying/neutering. Meet and greets will only be scheduled after a completed and signed application is submitted. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis...We do our homework and ensure the home is the best possible situation for the pet based on breed specifics and the lifestyle of the potential home. Breed descriptions are the best guess since we do not know both parents... One Mutt at a Time does our best to establish possible breed mixes using our experience in consultation with our vet. We make no guarantees to breed combinations unless we know both parents. This is a mixed breed dog of unknown origin unless otherwise stated. Story
We’ve had Nala for 10 years she’s really sweet, likes to be picked up by being scooped up on her side, loves sitting on your lap or lounging around, enjoys being outdoors and is a great companion for someone older who would love to have a pet that is loyal and protective. She doesn’t bark a lot unless she hears unfamiliar noises and may hide if you have a house full of people. She’s been the only pet for us and enjoys the quiet.
