They’re in an amazing foster home and although shy are incredibly sweet. They knew nothing when they arrived and are quickly picking up on all the perks home life provides. They love food and toys and have all the fun puppy antics. At their young age we expect they’ll acclimate quickly to the kind of life they should have had from the very beginning. They started their young lives living in filth in a tiny crate that absolutely wasn’t a home. No dog should be caged alone in a backyard but that’s exactly the life these sisters had. They got lucky. A Good Samaritan came to their rescue and their original family was willing to let them go. Their rescue journey has officially started and we are confident they’ll find the amazing homes they deserve. Coco and Milky aren’t bonded but do enjoy each others company. They’d do well in a home with another confident friendly dog to help them continue building their trust. They’ve come a long way in a short amount of time and we know with the perfect family they will only continue to grow and learn just how amazing life can be. He has a very sweet and lovable personality, but is a little shy in the beginning. With a little patience he warms up quickly though and is very affectionate. Recently thought he got diagnosed with diabetes and needs two insulin shots a day. He is doing very good with them and can live comfortably with it if properly monitored. He is very quiet and mellow and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person or family.Tom is about 9 years old, neutered, vaccinated had a dental. The were left behind when their drug addicted owner got evicted. He had them tied up in a dark room of the house with our food or water. They were rescued by a kind neighbor who had too many dogs already at her place and couldn't keep them. She contacted us and fortunately space had just opened and we couldn't say no. Simba is very shy and fearful but super sweet and gentle. He will warm up to TLC and loves to be held. He needs a person that will understand his shy personality and can give him a quiet home and patience. He is about 6 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. He has fully recovered and get along fabulous with all the dogs here.  He is so adorable and loves to snuggle and will make an amazing addition to any family. He weighs 10 pounds is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and ready for his new life adventures. Bubbles came to us on Giving Tuesday 2023 from the City of Bakersfield Animal Care Center. Hi! I'm Bubbles. I'm one-third of the Powerpuff Girl's Trio! I love hangin with the other girls. We just play and play! Sometimes we get a little too crazy with our toys (and sometimes our beds and blankies even) and they end up getting torn up. So the humans got us some tough toys, but those aren't as fun as the stuff that tears apart! So, now we gotta be supervised with anything soft. But I love the humans too! Sometimes I can be scared when I'm picked up or touched, but then I come to realize "it's okay, these people are nice to me." But I still can get nervous about it. I love jumping up and giving kisses to the humans. And if one of the other girls is gets pets, then of course I gotta scoot in and get some too! I'm hoping to go to a family that will be caring and patient with me, a family that will keep me busy/active, and give plenty of cuddles!

Chrissy is a 5 year old chihuahua mix that came to us from the City of Bakersfield Animal Care Center. Oh, hi. I'm Chrissy. I can be a bit shy and timid when I meet people. It takes me some time to warm up and willingly approach a human. But once I realize the human is okay, then I'll get excited when I see them and run right up to them and want kisses and cuddles. I've just started sort of playing with the other little pups, but I'm still iffy about playing with them. I sort of want to, but I sort of also don't; but I'm getting use to them as well. On occasion, I'll briefly pick up a toy, but I haven't made up my mind on those either. Once I do get close to a human, I mainly just wanna snuggle. I'm still coming out of my shell, and warming up to the world!
