Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application  Mimi is a young female Chihuahua who came to our rescue very pregnant. Her pups have since been adopted and now its her turn to find her furever family.   She can be a bit shy at first but once she warms up she is your best buddy.  Full of kisses and follows you everywhere. She is doing very well with her crate training and has been started on leash training.   With a good schedule I'm sure her training will go well in her new home.  She would need to meet any potential new pet siblings.   No small children.  Mimi is up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines,  tested for heartworm negative and now current on preventatives. Microchipped and spayed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application  Rowdy is a sweet chi mix who came to us very scared.  It has taking some time and lots of love and he has finally bloomed into an amazing boy.  He seems to love everyone and is getting along with laifpd backed dogs as well. He's not a fan of rambunctious puppies or dogs jumping on him but does well with adult dogs who are less active.  He is pretty much crate trained but will need further work in his new home.  He will need a home with no pet birds (chickens, ducks etc)as he will chase them.  He is neutered , microchipped,  current on preventatives,  up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines,  current on preventatives. Story
Dog Name: Coffee Breed: Chihuahua Mix Sex: spayed female Age: 3 years in February 2026 Weight: 12.5 pounds Medical Needs: Coffee takes 10mg of Clomipramine twice daily. This is a behavioral med and has helped her compulsive digging/guarding behaviors. Housebroken: yes, she's not had a single accident in my home so far. Crate trained: sort of, when I take her to work with me and there's people around her she stays in her kennel just fine. At home she is not a fan. Good in the car: yes. She is a very well behaved passenger and sits still and quietly in the backseat Good on a leash: Coffee LOVES to go on walks but can pull and get AGGRESSIVE if she sees other dogs or a feline. She is not a friend to any stranger, 2 nor 4 legged. Energy level: high. Coffee can be hyper when she's excited. This includes jumping and nipping at your hands. Coffee also loves it when it's time to settle down and will snuggle in your lap. Need a fenced in yard: not necessarily, but she would really enjoy having the space to run free and DIG! Adopters need to be willing to crate train or at least limit her to one room of the house when not home if they don't have a yard as she may dash out when you arrive home. Dog Friendly: yes, with VERY slow introductions. She doesn't like unfamiliar dogs but loves the 2 dogs she lives with in her current foster home. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Not necessarily but would enjoy a small dog friend. Cat Friendly? She has only met stray felines in the neighborhood and she's not a fan of them. She will try and go after them. Not a friend to felines. Kid Friendly: not tested, but I don't recommend her being in a home with small children due to her size, mouthy behaviors, and it takes her a while to warm up to people. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? I would recommend 13+ Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Coffee is an extremely sweet girl once she gets to know you. When she first arrived in my care, she did not like me at all. She showed some cage aggression and fearful reactions until she learned I am a safe person. On day 3 she jumped up on my bed on her own and slowly approached, gave my face a lick, and she's been wonderful TO ME ever since. You are either a threat or someone who has won coffee over and is now her best friend whose face she must smooch. There is no in between. Coffee is very barrier aggressive still and will bite new people. With how long it takes for coffee to adjust to new people, a quiet home with very few guests is ideal. Adopters must be aware of her fears and behaviors with new people and be willing to give her time and space to get comfortable and build confidence in her new home. Story
Dog name: Mo to love (answers to Momo and Monèt) Breed: mixed breed Sex: spayed female Age: ~3 years Weight: 20lbs and needs to lose a few to be at her ideal body condition Medical Needs: none Housebroken: yes Crate trained: no, but she is kept in a separate room when she can not be supervised and does fine. Good in the car: she does need to be restrained in the car, otherwise she will try and get in your lap. She will also try and jump out the moment the door is open. Good on a leash: yes she does very well but when you're taking too long picking up her she will give you several not so subtle pulls on the leash. Energy level: medium. She loves a long walk but I would not consider her hyper or anything. Need a fenced in yard: no, leashed walks are fine. Dog Friendly: very slow introductions. She doesn't like sharing attention at first and has taken her a couple weeks to not be upset when hanging out with my crew of dogs. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? She previously lived with a cat and does not bother the strays she sees on walks. Kid Friendly: She has previously lived with children but we do not have information regarding what that environment was like. In my care she has met a toddler who won her over with too many treats. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age with supervision, however Mo does NOT like being picked up or touched in her arm pits. She would need to be with a family where all members understand that if she's being lifted, proper "long spine dog lifts" only. She behaves as if this causes her pain but after a vet examination it's determined it's likely just her preference. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Mo to love is equal parts sweet and goofy. She wants to be your best friend after determining you're a safe person. She will waddle alongside her favorite people because she's not just loyal, she's pryish! When she gets back scratches she lifts her lip and flashes the cutest little grin. Some may say she looks deranged but her perfect family will find it charming! Story
This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
