Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Lillie River is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to feel safe and know what is expected of her. She lacks some confidence and looks to her person for guidance and reassurance. She can be a little nervous around unfamiliar people or situations at first, but typically warms up within seconds to a few minutes. She has done wonderfully in her busy foster home with people coming and going often. Lillie is smart, eager to please and responds very well to calm, clear direction. She knows sit and down, comes when called and walks nicely on a leash. She is lovable, enjoys being close to her people and gives the sweetest, gentlest little kisses. Lillie will thrive with someone who can provide consistency, structure and a predictable routine while continuing to build her confidence. She has experienced several major transitions in a very short period of time, so patience and stability will be especially important for her. Lillie responds best to calm, confident handling and clear, consistent expectations. She is very sensitive to the energy of the people around her and can become more anxious or overstimulated when someone is tense, frustrated or highly reactive. A calm, steady person who can give her reassurance while also providing structure will help her feel secure and bring out the very best in her. Regular professional grooming is a MUST for Lillie. As a Pomsky with a thick double coat, she requires consistent brushing and routine grooming to prevent matting and impacted undercoat. Due to inadequate coat maintenance, Lillie has already had to endure two extensive corrective grooms in just five months—one lasting approximately 5 hours and another lasting 6.5 hours. Keeping her coat properly maintained is essential to her comfort, skin and coat health, and overall wellbeing.
