Kiwi is an adorable long-haired Chihuahua who may be tiny, but she has an incredible spirit and so much love to give. Kiwi came to Max's Ark with a deformed spine, which means he has some physical limitations and may need a little extra understanding and care. But Kiwi doesn't see himself as different — he's simply a sweet little boy who wants what every dog wants: to feel safe, loved, and cherished. Despite his special needs, Kiwi is an incredibly sweet companion. He enjoys being near his people and is happiest when he feels secure and loved. His unique body may mean that he needs some accommodations and thoughtful care, but his loving personality makes every bit of it worthwhile. Kiwi previously spent time with Ivy, and the two were initially thought to be a bonded pair. Once they became comfortable and settled into their foster environment, however, it became clear that they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Kiwi is now ready to find a forever family who will look beyond his physical differences and see the wonderful little dog he truly is. He doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him He needs someone who will love him, protect him, understand his limitations, and celebrate everything he CAN do. 🥹❤️ If you have room in your heart for a very special little Chihuahua who has already overcome so much, Kiwi may be your girl. 🐾💕 Serious adopters from Southern Lee County (Estero area) and Collier County only. I am part of a group rescued from a hoarding situation where we were not being properly cared for. We all were very scared! Thankfully, the nice people here at Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue were willing to take us in, provide the medical and general care we needed and help us learn to trust humans again. While still a little shy, I do like getting pets. I will need help with my leash and potty training. Sparky is about 12 years old, he was given to us by a friend after they moved away. I never wanted to give him away because all he has known is my family, and he was my grandpas dog. It has gotten much harder to take care of him especially now that I have moved to a new home. He does have a marking issue which is another reason I cannot keep him, currently I am trying to get him use to diapers. I needed to give him away for so long but was afraid of him getting put down since he is a senior dog. I just want a loving home for him to live out his last couple of years.
