Story
Rocky is an adorable 1-year-old Chihuahua and terrier(?) mix who weighs only 25 pounds. Rocky is energetic, loves to run and play but also is very loving. He loves to be held and will cuddle in your arms. He rides great in a vehicle and enjoys country music with a little bit of hip hop mixed in. His favorite toys are his teddy bear stuffie and his ball. Rocky is a bit of a jumper but he is learning his manners so it won't take long before he understands not to jump. Good news: Rocky likes dogs and cats! He is a fun little guy who would love a kiddo to grow up with. If you are looking for delightful little dog, with a sweet balance of playfulness and cuddles, Rocky is for you! ........... Please come meet this sweet soul soon! (We keep our posts up-to-date.) Story
My name is Carlos, a 1 or 2-year-old male chihuahua. I was found as a stray in small town of Palmyra, IL on July 5. Although my found dog post was seen by over 9,500 people, no one ever claimed me. I felt sad and alone. I was very scared when I first got here, but the staff here has worked with me to help me gain confidence. I still am very timid when I first meet new people...I'll even growl or give you a low grumble. But, when I get to know you, you are locked in my heart for life! Once you are in my circle, I'll jump right in your lap and let you pick me up. I don't mind being carried and I love to be held close. It makes me feel safe and secure. The folks here say I am such a funny boy when I trot around with my head so high. Well, why not? I'm pumped up and proud! I also love my crate and will jump in it on my own when I need to feel safe or have some alone time. My favorite hobby is tossing around a squeaky toy and then give it a big shake! I also love following my humans around..walking from room to room, seldom straying very far. My perfect home will be a quiet one without little kids. A fenced yard would be great. If not, I will need to be on a leash to go potty and on walks--I don't want to get lost and end up here again. And, since I like my crate, it would be nice if I had one at your house too! I'm not keen on other dogs or cats--at least here, I growl at them. But maybe it would be okay if your pets ignored me. Anyway...If you are looking for a young, cute, little companion like me, let's do a meet and greet! --------------- Please come meet this sweet soul soon! (We keep our posts up-to-date.) Story
Monk is 4 years old and was rescued in Florida from a home with over 30 dogs. He was flea infested and had bald spots and sickness. He’s now a very chill dog who like to relax and cuddle. He adapts very well to different environments and is very loving. He does get aggressive with my other dog and because he’s only 6 pounds the other dog fights back and wins. So monk got bit in the ear and eye. He developed and ulsur in his eye. It got repaired at the vet but he may not be able to see completely out of that eye. I’m afraid it may hapoen again and I don’t want to take that chance. I’m giving up monk because he adapts well whereas my other dog is heavily attached to me. It breaks my heart to have to give monk up so I’m hoping to find him a forever home. He does well with large dogs. He’s only been around a 9 year old and he did very well. He’s a light eater and he’s picky about snacks too lol. Overall he’s a sweetheart with a very funny personality.

**Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Roscoe is a Chihuahua with the typical snarky Chihuahua attitude. He takes time to warm up to new people, but once he does warm up, he will let you hold him like a baby and love on him. However, be advised this process won't happen the first day, or maybe not the first week. You will need to let him come to you when he decides he's good and ready. Roscoe weighs in at about 4.4 pounds. He is about a year and a half old. He needs a securely fenced yard and does not walk well on a leash! He is okay with other dogs but has not been cat tested. Due to his nature, he is not recommended for a home with children. He is fully vaccinated with a microchip and has been neutered. Located in St. Louis, if you're up for the challenge, please apply today!

Story
Hello there, I’m Mandy. My foster mom says I’m 6 pounds of pure love. I will follow my person everywhere they go, your lap is mine, and kisses are always available. At night I love to snuggle up under the covers and snooze with my person. I met a cat and was very impartial to him. I am fine with or without other dogs in a home. I walk well on a leash so a fence is not necessary. I love car rides and nyla bones too. I am working on perfecting my potty skills and with a consistent routine will have it down in no time. Due to my very petite stature I will not be placed in a home with young children or big dogs. Mandy is a year old, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea preventative, spayed, microchipped, and de-wormed. Mandy’s adoption fee is $350. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable girl to join your family, please fill out an application at aaprescue.org

Story
Hi! I’m Joey and I’m still looking for my perfect family who will love me and provide me with a nice, quiet home. I’m a very handsome red long-haired Chihuahua weighing 10 lbs, and I must say that in all of my 13 years I’ve become quite a flexible senior gentleman. I head out to do my business in the morning, then check in for breakfast, and then nap on the sofa or the dog bed. If you’d like to run errands, I’m your man. I love to ride in the car and be the best little companion you’ve ever seen. I’m very loving and hope to spend some time just cuddling with my new family. I’ve discovered that I would do best living with another older dog that is small, like me, and very laid back, so we can take turns checking on each other, laying out in the sun, and maybe fussing over the bully sticks. Any dog that is bigger than me, or kinda outspoken and in my face, keeps me very agitated and upset. I might be okay being the only doggie in the house if someone in my family would be home most of the time to love on me, and not keep me crated all the time. I’ve been sleeping in bed with foster mom at night, and have become kinda spoiled. I’m working on potty training … let’s say I’m still a work in progress. I do have chronic dry eye which requires daily medication for the rest of my life. I’m up to date on all my shots, am heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea preventative, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed. Joey’s adoption fee is $250. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little guy to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Hello there I’m Tilly…..I’m is a 5 year old Boston/Chi mix that is very sweet girl. I’m a bit shy when meeting new people but it doesn’t take long for me to be best buddy. A fenced yard is a must for me as I feel that I am the great squirrel hunter and I love to be outside. Chewing nylabones and going for car rides are on my top 10 favs as well. Foster mom says I am doing great going potty outside. Foster mom says I would better off in a home with older (12 and up) kids who are respectful of my space, and other dogs are fine too. Tilly is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative, microchipped, de-wormed and is spayed. Tilly’s adoption fee is $325.00. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you are interested in having Tilly be part of your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Hi. My name is Mr. T, and All About Paws Rescue took me from the streets and is helping me find my new life. I am a 1-year-old Chihuahua/Min Pin mix, and I am full of love. Initially, I am a very scared little boy, but within a day with my foster mom, I was asking for all the cuddles she could give. She didn’t mind that I love to give kisses either. Wait until I look up at you with my brown eyes. You won’t be able to resist me. I’m working on my potty-training skills. My foster mom says I am a very smart boy so I should be able to master it with patience. I love all types of dogs. My foster home has fur-siblings from 80 lbs to 4 lbs. I play and play with my foster brother Dobbie who is a 10 lb Chiweenie. I’m a little scared of cats. My foster-brother cat swiped at me so I stay clear of cats. Kids are a little scary, but once I get used to them, I don’t have a problem with them. Since I was used to the street life, a leash is a must for a walk. AAP thinks a fenced yard would be better so I can run my little heart out. Mr. T is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative, microchipped, de-wormed, and neutered. Mr. T’s adoption fee is $325. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you are interested in having Mr. T be part of your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.
