He is shy and may nip when meeting new people, but with patience and gentle reassurance, he warms up beautifully. But because of his fearfulness, he would do best in a home with no children. Bandito is the kind of dog who just needs someone willing to help him build his confidence so he can shine. He enjoys playing, staying active, and spending time with dogs his own size. Once he feels safe, his sweet, goofy charm comes out—and it’s impossible not to fall for him. Bandito is ready for a loving home that will give him the time, encouragement, and affection he deserves.  Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Story
Tango is a gentle 9-year-old terrier mix weighing just 12 pounds, with a heart that craves love and connection—on his own terms. He adores attention and affection and is happiest when his person sits nearby, talks to him, and showers him with gentle love. While he isn’t a lapdog, Tango enjoys being close and feeling included. Tango also appreciates his independence and likes having time to himself. He’s perfectly content relaxing quietly on his own, making him a great match for a calm household that respects his need for personal space. He enjoys life’s simple pleasures: going outside and laying in the sun, chewing on bully sticks and other chewies, and playing with toys—especially ones that make noise or have squeakers. Tango would enjoy regular walks and, as long as he’s walked frequently and monitored on a leash, he does not require a fenced yard. He should not be left unsupervised outside. Tango gets along well with other dogs, particularly those his own size, and would do well in a home with or without other dogs. He’s happy sharing space but doesn’t demand constant interaction. At night, Tango snuggles into his comfy doggie bed in his foster mom’s bedroom and sleeps quietly through the night. While other dogs may climb into the big bed, Tango prefers his own cozy spot—comforted simply by knowing his person is nearby. With his peaceful temperament, gentle affection, and independent streak, Tango would thrive in a quiet, loving home where companionship is balanced with respect for his space. If you’re looking for a sweet senior dog who offers calm devotion without being clingy, Tango is ready to find his forever home. Tango is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s had a dental, is microchipped and dewormed. Tango’s adoption fee is $300. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little guy to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Bubba is an 8-year-old, 5-pound bundle of love with a calm, gentle temperament and a surprisingly playful spirit. Bubba is active, curious, and full of life. He absolutely loves food and happily takes treats, but his favorite place is right by your side. Whether he’s cuddling on the couch or snuggling up in bed at night, Bubba is a true little shadow who loves being close to his person. Bubba rarely barks and has wonderful manners. While he’s not a big fan of the crate, he will eventually settle in and does best in a cozy, comforting environment where he feels safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, Bubba might just be your perfect match. Bubba is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, had a dental, and microchipped. Bubba’s adoption fee is $325.00. Story
Meet Tiny Tim! Tiny Tim is a 1½-year-old male Chihuahua with a big personality. Although he’s had a rough start, he’s blossomed into a fun-loving, curious little guy who’s eager to enjoy life. He’s playful and engaged, especially when toys are involved, and he’s a big fan of bully sticks and other chewies. His curious nature means he’s always interested in what’s going on around him—he’s the type to follow you from room to room just to see what you’re up to. This sweet boy is learning that the world can be a fun and safe place, and he’s ready for a loving home that will continue to help him build confidence and enjoy all the good things he missed early on. He would do well in a home where there are no really small children, and where he would receive lots of attention, hugs and love. He will also need a fenced yard so he can safely play, exercise, and build confidence. Tiny Tim may be small (weighing less than 5 lbs.), but he has a huge heart and so much love to give. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. Tiny Tim’s adoption fee is $400. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving little companion, Tiny Tim is waiting to meet you! Please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
5-year-old spayed female Chihuahua, 5 lbs, house-trained, crate-trained, sweet with adults but needs to be approached with caution the first few times. She loves being a lap dog, and she was perfect with my toddler for a long time, but recently her behavior has escalated. She is resource guarding comfy spots only from my toddler. Shoko is not normally aggressive with anyone in the house 99% of the time unless they’re strangers attempting to pet her before she’s comfortable. She doesn’t really play with toys for more than a second unless it’s a laser pointer. She loves going on walks but definitely prefers to avoid strangers and other dogs. She, in the past has LOVED cats and another small dog she was used to, but all situations should be approached cautiously since she is an anxious chihuahua, but a very good girl. I do require at the very least a videocall home visit along with a meeting to assure the environment is safe and you’re a good fit for her.
