IDGSR Welcomes KEVIN into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Well howdy, folks! Name’s Kevin, and I reckon I might just be the smallest German Shepherd this side of Nashville, Tennessee… trapped in a Chihuahua/Terrier body. Don’t let my size fool ya—what I lack in height, I make up for in heart, grit, and a whole lotta personality. Quick Facts: Age - 6-months old Kids - will do fine with kids Dogs - great with other dogs Cats - probably no cats 1. At 6 months old, I’m still a young buck, full of curiosity and charm. 2. I’ve got a funny little bob-tail that wiggles faster than a tumbleweed in a windstorm, and a coat that looks straight outta the German Shepherd handbook. I’m startin’ to think I might be an undercover deputy from the Shepherd ranks—just disguised in a compact package! 3. I get along mighty fine with other dogs, and I’d fit right in whether you’re livin’ in a ranch, apartment, condo, or townhome—I’m not picky about my corral. 4. I’m still workin’ on house and crate trainin’, but I’m a quick learner if you’ve got some patience and a few treats up your sleeve. 5. I’ll need a good ol’ dose of obedience trainin’, but partner, once I learn the ropes, I’ll be your most loyal sidekick on every adventure. 6. So what do you say, cowboy (or cowgirl)? Saddle up and adopt me —the tiny sheriff with the Shepherd soul! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt? Story
Meet T-Bone — A Tiny Senior with a Big Heart T-Bone is a 10-year-old Chihuahua who came to us when his owner was no longer able to care for him. Now this little gentleman is hoping to find a forever home filled with love, soft blankets, and someone who appreciates his sweet, snuggly nature. T-Bone’s absolute favorite thing in the world is cuddling. Give him a warm blanket and a cozy lap, and he’s in heaven. He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you around just to be part of whatever you’re doing. Even though he’s a senior, T-Bone still enjoys random spurts of playful energy that bring out his silly, joyful side and bunny hops. He may be small, but he knows how to brighten a room. T-Bone has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $85. If you’re looking for a loving, blanket-burrowing best friend who can melt your heart with his affection and charm you with his personality, T-Bone is ready to become your new little shadow. 💛🐾

Story
Introducing Roxanne! This 5-year-old chihuahua/dachshund mix is full of sass, class, and a little bit of “diva.” Roxanne knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting you know. She’s not the biggest fan of men, and when it comes to other dogs, she’s pretty selective—after all, a girl’s allowed to be picky about her friends! Cats and chickens? Forget it—Roxanne thinks they’re way too much fun to chase, so her perfect home will be free of those. What Roxanne really wants is someone who will appreciate her spunky personality, respect her boundaries, and spoil her with love (and maybe a cozy spot on the couch). Roxanne has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $150. All New Leash dogs are to be primarily indoor companions, with supervised playtime outside only. If you’re looking for a pint-sized best friend with a big personality, Roxanne just might be your girl!

Story
Meet Jacqueline — A Gentle Senior Beauty Blossoming Into Her Best Self Jacqueline is a 12-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart as soft as her fur. When she first arrived, this sweet girl was battling a skin condition that left her with little hair on her face and ears. But with good care, love, and time, she’s healing beautifully — and her adorable fluff is returning more every day! Don’t let her small size fool you — Jacqueline has a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when curled up beside someone who makes her feel safe. Whether you’re reading, watching TV, or enjoying a quiet moment, she’s the perfect little companion to share it with. Jacqueline has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention, so she’s all ready for her new family. Her adoption fee is just $85. She will thrive in a calm, loving household where she can spend most of her time inside with her people. All New Leash dogs are to be primarily indoor pets with supervised outdoor time only, and Jacqueline is more than happy with that lifestyle. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted senior who will adore you with every bit of her tiny self, Jacqueline is eager to meet you. She’s proof that even after a rough start, love helps us bloom. 🌼💛
