Meet Cookie Dough!
Cookie Dough is a sweet, sensitive little puppy with a heart as soft as her name. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her playful, affectionate personality shines through. In just a day or two, she transforms from a timid observer into a happy, kiss-giving cuddle bug who wants to be part of everything you're doing.
This gentle girl loves nothing more than racing around the yard with her brother, zooming in circles until they're both happily exhausted. After about 20 minutes of puppy playtime, she's ready to claim a prime spot on your lap or snuggle up beside you for a cozy nap. If you're looking for a puppy who can balance playful energy with endless affection, Cookie Dough is your girl.
Cookie Dough is making good progress with potty training and is learning the routine, though she'd still rather stop and play than focus on business outside. She's also working on basic commands using positive reinforcement and is eager to keep learning.
She gets along beautifully with other dogs and would love a gentle canine companion in her forever home. She's submissive, respectful of larger dogs, and enjoys both playing and relaxing with her furry friends. Cookie Dough has also done wonderfully with cats and has warmed up nicely to a toddler after slow introductions, making her a great fit for a family with respectful children.
On walks, Cookie Dough enjoys exploring the world one sniff at a time. She's curious and observant, taking everything in at her own pace. She isn't a frequent barker, only letting you know when someone arrives, and settles quickly once she realizes everything is okay.
Cookie Dough's foster describes her as incredibly sweet and gentle. She pays close attention to her surroundings and will quietly remove herself from situations that make her uncomfortable, making patience and positive experiences especially important as she continues building confidence. Once she trusts you, she'll happily curl up in your arms, cover you in puppy kisses, and become your constant companion.
Cookie Dough would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can continue gaining confidence at her own pace.

This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
