Bacca is a smart, energetic boy who is a 1.5 years old chihuahua / jack russell terrier mix and weighs 14 pounds. He loves to play, especially tug of war, and chase rabbits in our yard. He is full of affection, and will give you plenty of kisses and cuddles on the couch. He knows a bunch of basic commands and is house trained and crate trained. Bacca was rescued from the streets of Houston and has some reactivity and resource guarding for food, toys, and people. He does not do well with other dogs he has not met before. He has started guarding my husband and becoming aggressive with me, and I am medically fragile. Because we live in a small apartment in Boston, we cannot keep him, although it breaks our hearts to give him up, because he is really a sweet dog at heart Looking for a new home with someone who is experienced with Chihuahuas and reactive dogs.

This fun boy loves to play as much as he loves to sit on your lap and watch the world go by. Teddy would do well in most any home where his preference for slower intros will be supported and advocated for.Teddy isn’t super forward in his greetings, but he is a lover and a social butterfly once he gets comfortable. He likes to approach new people at his own speed and give them a sniff, after which he’s wonderful. Teddy has met older kids who let him take the lead and he was playing chase with them in no time, so he would do great with dog-savvy human siblings who could respect his space and let him come to them. This sweetie pie has ignored the cats he’s seen, so he would likely do well living with cats with proper introductions. Once Teddy is comfortable he loves to play keep away or toss a toy around for himself!Teddy is house trained and will walk to the door if he needs to go out. He is also crate trained consistently during the day and overnight. Teddy may whine for a minute or two as he settles in, especially in new surroundings, but he quickly gets comfortable and sleeps. This handsome gentleman walks well on his leash but can be scared by loud noises, so he sometimes needs encouragement to be brave in unfamiliar places. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Puddin! Puddin is approximately 1.5 years old and 19 lbs currently and she is a small mixed breed pup. She was found as a stray and no one came to claim her. In her foster home, she is doing great with his house training but hasn`t had much experience with crate training or leash walking. She could join households with dog-savvy kids 10+, and other dogs. She has no been exposed to cats.Her foster says, `If you want the perfect little (dog) that`s not too little look no further! Puddin is probably one of the sweetest, loving, quiet, easy going, goes with the flow kinda dogs I have had in my house in quite a long time. She is house trained and will go to the door to go potty. She is very smart, and learns fast. She is not a barker. She loves to be loved, and at the same time she has no issues going to hang out in the dog bed and taking a nap for half the day. She is never underfoot when you`re doing things around the house either. She`s a ` lays in the window ` and watch the world go by kinda kid who would enjoy some walks and playtime. She is great in the car. She likes to play with the other playful dogs. She will even lay down and go to sleep with you then later get down into a dog bed for her own space. Whoever takes this precious little girl home will have the best dog they could ever ask for and a bestie for life!
