Romeo is a 15 y/o Chihuahua and weighs about 4 lbs. My family has had Romeo since he was a little puppy. Due to his age, his hearing is not that great, and his bladder is a little weak, so I carry him outside just in case he doesn't make it outside. He is a one- or two-person boy who loves to sleep in a warm blanket or lay on his human. Over the last few years, he sleeps a lot of the time. He was crate trained as a puppy and loves going into his crate when his humans leave. It breaks my heart but my husband and I are going through a very toxic divorce, and we sold our home. I am living with my daughter and her family and they have a large dog that does not like other dogs.

This little lovebug is a sweet, loving guy who is listed as eight years old but acts so much younger. Just 14 pounds, he is spry and energetic with no medical issues. Gizmo loves his people and is very affectionate with them. He will bark at strangers but will climb up on their lap after he knows he's safe. He is also a talker when you use words like "outside" or " have dinner" to let you know he's fully on board. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home and has no aggression issues. He has not been exposed to children but older respectful teens will work for him. Gizmo is housetrained, up to date with vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He has had a recent dental cleaning to show off his lovely teeth. Gizmo's ideal home is one with a fenced yard since he loves exploring his new surroundings. He spent much of his time outdoors and we want to keep him safe. Gizmo is being fostered in Barnegat, NJ. Open your heart to an older dog. Introducing Candy! Our sweet Candy is five years old and from a large hoarding situation. She came to us afraid of everything, yet there’s not a mean bone in her body. Today, while still very shy and very unsure of a leash, she has joined the other dogs in play and is learning what it means to be loved by humans. Candy has made huge progress and continues to grow. This is the reward of rescue. Candy loves to play outside and lay in the sun with her foster mates. She will come and give you a kiss, jump up for petting and wait excitedly for a treat. She is still leary of being picked up and will scoot away, but will come back to you for attention and more pets. Looking for a ready-made pet? You might want to pass on Candy.
