Teddy is a sweet, excited, happy little guy. He can take some time to warm up to people (he’s been called “SPICY” for a reason) but once he is comfortable he is loving and sweet. Teddy adores toys and will require and army of them! He also likes to have a crate or cage as his private safe space. Teddy likes to play, especially with his human friends. He lives in a foster home with other small dogs and has gotten along well. However Teddy would also love to be an “only” dog! Teddy is house trained and enjoys food. He is active and excitable but also likes to relax. Teddy would do best in a home without small children; older (teens) would likely be okay. Teddy is a fun little dude who will be joy and laughs to his lucky new family.

Hi, I'm Phoenix. I'm one year old, I'm a Chiweenie, and I'm full of energy. I get my bold streak from my Chihuahua side and my love of burrowing from my Dachshund side. I'm small, but I have plenty of personality and a whole lot of heart. My Favorite Things Sleeping under the covers When it's time to sleep, I head straight under the blankets. I'll nose my way in, turn around a few times, and curl up in a warm ball right beside you. If you wake up and can't find me, check the foot of the bed. You'll find a lump under the blanket, and that's me, happily snoozing. My Dachshund ancestors dug into burrows, and I've made the bed my own burrow. Playing with other dogs I'm very social and I love making friends with other dogs. Big or small, calm or wild, I'm up for zoomies, wrestling, or a game of chase. I don't always realize how small I am, but I make up for it with speed and enthusiasm. Hopping around the backyard The backyard is my playground, and I don't just walk through it. I bounce. I hop through the grass like a bunny, chase whatever catches my eye, and check every corner of the yard over and over. You'll know I'm having the best day ever when my ears are flopping and my tail is going full speed. Eating (a lot) Food is one of my great loves. I finish every meal with gusto and I'm always ready for seconds. I'll sit nicely, stare at you, and look extra sweet if I think a snack might come my way. My family helps me keep my portions healthy, because a long back like mine does best when I stay trim. Greeting my person My favorite part of every day is when you come home. As soon as I hear the car or the door, I come running. There's spinning, jumping, wiggling, happy little whines, and a tail that won't stop wagging. Whether you were gone five minutes or all day, I greet you like you've been gone for a year, because I missed you that much. My Personality Loyal: I'm devoted to my person and like to stay close. Energetic: I'm fun-sized and always ready for the next adventure. Affectionate: I love to cuddle, especially under a warm blanket. Social: Other dogs are my friends. I just haven't met all of them yet. Food-motivated: Treats are the fastest way to my heart, and to my training. A little stubborn: I'm smart and I learn fast, but sometimes I have my own ideas. Joseph is an approximately 8 year-old Chihuahua / Terrier mix that currently weighs 21 lbs. Joseph aka as JoeJoe is a calmer dog that enjoys sitting in your lap. When it’s cold you’ll find him under the covers. He is very fond of treats & chewies and will put on a dance performance for one. Healthy snack options he enjoys: blueberries, bananas, apples, tomatoes, celery, peas & carrots. He’s always up for a walk and gets very excited just seeing the leash. He enjoys going on car rides. He likes squeaky toys and his favorite are lamb chops. When you come home, he’ll greet you at the door with a toy. Joseph is extremely outgoing and doesn’t know a stranger. Joseph may look like an old man but this “old man” plays daily. He will play with you, by himself or with his doggy friends. Let’s talk about his doggy friends. Joseph is dog selective meaning he chooses who he likes and who he doesn’t like. He doesn’t like big dogs and he doesn’t like hyper dog. He prefers female dogs to males but he has gotten along with some small male dogs. He would do great as an only dog or in a home with another small calmer dog. His doggy BFF’s he’ll play, wrestle and protect from them from other scary dogs. He’s loyal to the core once he finds a buddy. Since Joseph can be dog selective he must meet every dog in the home before adoption. A secured fenced yard is required. He loves the backyard. On nice days he likes to squirrel & bird watch. JoeJoe is crate, leash & potty trained. He does excellent while his family is away and it is not necessary to crate him. His foster home has a doggy door which he has really came to enjoy. At night he likes to sleep in his human’s bed and will cuddle up next to you. Be prepared he’s going to work way his way under the covers like he owns the place or you can give him his own blanket to burrow under. Joseph is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, current on HW preventative and micro chipped. He has also had a recent dental. His adoption fee is $250. Carlos is a lovable and affectionate boy, but he does take some time to warm up to people. But once he gets over the hump of just meeting, he will become your loyal companion! He will love laying with you and just spending time doing things together. He does like other dogs and would do best with another dog about his size in the home. NO cats! Carlos would do best with children over the age of 14 only. Carlos needs a home that will give him the time to get adjusted to a new environment.
