Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response serves as your preliminary application. Please provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love her". Through no fault of their own, they find themselves displaced, looking for a loving lap to land upon. Ginger is a bit more outgoing than her sister, Alaska, but both have transitioned beautifully with a loving foster family. These 8-year-old, approximately 5-pound sisters are spayed, have lived comfortably with other dogs and a house cat. It took a few days for Alaska to come out of her igloo, but she is thriving. Their foster mom has this to say: " If you are looking for love in small packages, please consider these two sisters. They are couch potatoes of the cutest kind. They love cuddles and warm sweaters! Just like me:)" Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding—Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.
We'll also keep you updated on Ginger's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Princess Buttercup — Tiny Royalty with a Big-Dog Attitude Don’t let her size fool you — Princess Buttercup is absolutely convinced she’s a Great Dane. This confident little queen struts through life with bold energy, fearless charm, and just the right amount of sass. She may be small, but her personality? Larger than life. Buttercup is a tough cookie who carries herself like she rules the kingdom (and honestly, she probably does). She loves getting out for leash walks where she can survey her land — though fair warning, this princess has a bit of a leash pull! She’s enthusiastic about her adventures and likes to lead the way. But beneath that brave, boss-girl exterior is a snuggly sweetheart. Buttercup adores being carried like the royalty she is and will happily soak up attention and affection from her loyal subjects. One minute she’s marching proudly at the front of the parade, the next she’s melting into your arms for cuddles. Princess Buttercup is equal parts bold, loving, and hilarious — a tiny diva with a heart of gold. If you’re ready to welcome a confident, cuddly, leash-loving little legend into your life, Her Royal Highness is ready for her forever throne. Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.  All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       February 12, 2026, 12:13 pm
