Story
Chillee is sweet, ten year old chihuahua. She loves to play and be silly, but is very anxious due to living in a household with someone with PTSD and bipolar disorder. She barks and licks to self soothe. She comes from a home with cats and dogs and is good with both. I just want her to be in a home where she can relax. She’s is not utd on vaccinations and needs her teeth cleaned. She just needs a person who will love her and make her feel safe.

Story
✨ Surprise & Twist are still waiting… ✨ These two tiny pups truly lived up to their names from the very beginning. Surprise (the boy) and Twist (the girl) are the last two remaining babies from an unexpected litter born to sweet mama Mabel — a litter no one saw coming. Mabel arrived to us from a Charleston shelter after being found as a stray. Despite multiple vet visits, her pregnancy went completely unnoticed, and she somehow flew entirely under the radar. Then, one day, she shocked everyone by giving birth to the most incredible little babies. Thrown into motherhood overnight, Mabel figured it out beautifully with the help of a loving foster home that supported her every step of the way. Once her babies were weaned, Mabel went right back to the forever family that had been patiently waiting for her — the ending she always deserved. 💕 Her babies, however, are still writing their stories. Now almost 9 weeks old, Surprise and Twist are two of the very last littermates left. All of their siblings have headed off to their forever homes, leaving these two teeny-tiny souls still hoping their people are out there. They are Chihuahua mixes (mom was not 100% Chi), and even while pregnant, Mabel only weighed about 30 pounds — so we expect these babies to stay small, likely under 25 pounds fully grown. Right now, they truly fit in the palm of your hand. What they lack in size, they more than make up for in personality. These pups are incredibly well-socialized, confident, cuddly, playful, and endlessly sweet. They’ve been raised with love, handled often, and set up for success from day one. They adore people, love to snuggle, and are ready to bring joy, laughter, and puppy kisses into their future homes. Surprise and Twist didn’t plan on entering the world the way they did — but they’re here, they’re thriving, and they’re beyond ready for their happily ever after. Could that be with you? 🐶✨💛

Story
Dutton was surrendered to rescue after his owner could no longer care for him and his sister, Luna. Dutton is a bit shy at first, but give him and hour and he will be in your lap or in your arms. He would be a perfect office companion, rides well in the car and is crate-trained. Stay tuned to this page or our Facebook site for updates as we find out more about Dutton and await his neuter date. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference in good standing is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $610 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please email us and specify which animal you are interested in. Without an approved application, however, we cannot guarantee the animal's attendance. Event locations do vary, so please check Facebook to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees, since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Howdy to Zeus! He is a 13 year old male chiweenie. Very scared but is wanting to be loved. No kids as he can be a bit snarky. Okay with other dogs.
