Story
A friend was fostering Grover after he was found in a parking lot. I had another sm breed rescue, so I took him during one of my visits to Mphs (I lived in NOLA then.) This was ~9yrs ago. Grover's not your usual Chi. He's incredibly sweet. He's not shaky, snippy, possessive, or yappy (though he's an excellent watchdog) He's very cuddly & doesn't have "his person," b/c everyone is his person. He's smart & inquisitive. Likes to play. Likes dog parks. Loves walks on a leash, but he'll also hang out in a bag or sling - he's even been on bike rides. He's just a silly, happy boy. He barks at the 3 cats in the house, but that's all he does. He'd be fine solo, but craves people love. Perfect would be WFH, etc. Re., house-trained. He's potty pad & box trained. Like many male Chis, he'll sometimes mark if you don't watch him. If he's not w/ me on the couch, he wears a belly band. Crate trained. Loves car rides in his booster seat. Good w/ baths & nail trims. He loves to collect all the stuffies.

Story
She was in rough shape when I found her 5yrs ago. I agreed to foster, but failed as she quickly grew on me. She's very sweet & loves everyone. A hit wherever she goes. Not shaky, yappy, or snippy. None of the stereotypical Chi traits. Loves to be cuddled. Well-behaved in bath & nail trims. Potty pad trained. Funny, quirky personality & super smart. Can be a bit stubborn abt coming in from basking in the sun - can't blame her :) Ruby is older than I thought; her age can't be determined as she has no teeth (A cleaning right after I got her instead became removal. Ruby never chewed her food anyway, so it's been no problem) Vet guess on age is 11-12. Cataracts 1yr ago have recently progressed to near blindness - I think it would be helpful for her to live w/ another pup as she can take hints from them, re., when to sleep, etc. It doesn't have to be my other Chi, Grover-they're not bonded. She's adapted well - I can share my tips. Also hard of hearing, otherwise healthy. She's just aging
