Hazel's journey began in a challenging setting, surrounded by four other dogs in that vast cornfield. But fate intervened when a compassionate volunteer trapped her and another furry companion, leading them towards a brighter future. When Hazel first arrived, her fragile frame spoke volumes about her difficult past. However, thanks to the loving care she received, she has blossomed and now tips the scales at a healthier 16 pounds. We estimate her age to be somewhere between 1 and 2 years, and her bright spirit radiates with newfound joy. Though her original owners were hoped to be found through her microchip, it was a bittersweet realization that Hazel's destiny lay elsewhere. She has now embarked on a new chapter, residing in a home where she shares her life with two other canine companions. Playtime is one of Hazel's greatest delights, and she excels at games of fetch. Yet, beneath her playful exterior lies a heart filled with affection. She craves closeness to her humans and seeks the warmth of a lap or a snug spot by your side. While Hazel treasures her meals, she prefers to enjoy them in the privacy of her crate, as she can be a touch particular when other dogs are around. However, rest assured, she exhibits no food aggression towards people and takes treats with utmost gentleness. Within the comfort of a home, Hazel showcases her serene demeanor, proving to be a calm and well-behaved companion. She seamlessly adapts to her surroundings, utilizing a doggie door with ease.
