Story
An acquaintance was fostering him after he was found in a parking lot. I was living in NOLA at the time & I had another small breed rescue. He was posted for weeks w/ no takers, so I took him during one of my visits to Memphis. This was ~9yrs ago. Grover's temperament is not typical Chi. He's incredibly sweet. He's not shaky, snippy, possessive, or yappy. He's cuddly & doesn't have "his person," b/c everyone is his person. He loves everyone, kids included. He loves walks & is good on a leash, but he'll also hang out in a bag or a sling - he's even been on bike rides. He's just a silly, happy boy. He barks at the cats (there are 3 in the house,) but he doesn't do much other than that. He'd be fine solo, but craves people love. Perfect would be WFH, etc. Re., house-trained. He didn't use to, but started to mark things. Too much change I think. He'll wear a belly band (I add a panty liner.) Potty pad & box trained. Good w/ baths & nail trims. He loves stuffies & will collect all of them.

Story
She was in rough shape when I found her 5yrs ago. I agreed to foster, but failed as she quickly grew on me. Ruby is older than I thought; her age can't be determined as she has no teeth (A cleaning right after I got her instead became removal. Ruby never chewed her food anyway, so it's caused no problems.) Vet guessed 10yrs. Cataracts 1yr ago have recently progressed to near blindness - I think it would be helpful for her to live w/ another pup as she can take hints from them, re., when to sleep, etc. It doesn't have to be my other Chi, Grover, as they're not bonded. She's adapted well - I can share my tips. Also hard of hearing, otherwise healthy. She's just aging. She's very sweet & loves everyone. A hit wherever she goes. Not shaky, yappy, or snippy. None of the stereotypical Chi traits. Loves to be cuddled. Well-behaved in bath & nail trims. Potty pad trained. Funny, quirky personality & super smart. Can be a bit stubborn about coming in from basking in the sun.

Story
Ren is a very small male chihuahua mix who weighs under 6 lbs. He is perhaps three years old. Ren was found running with Robin who was in heat at the time. They appear to be bonded. Unfortunately Ren tested heartworm positive and is on pretreatment for heartworms. Ren loves to stay wrapped up in his kennel near the heater. He seems fine with being held. He will growl at another male dog who comes near as Robin is usually hanging out with him. He is being neutered today and we will treat his heartworms. Story
Peanut is a three year old 5-7 lb long haired chihuahua or pomeranian mix. He is the sweetest little guy! Peanut and several others were surrendered from a home who had too many dogs to the Marion animal shelter. Lucifer and Lucy are the other two of this group that our rescue took. All three are heartworm negative. Peanut had the worst coat and has a lot of gaps in hair growth, some may have been shaved or cut when he was neutered. We feel with proper flea protection, good food and some medicated baths he will bounce back. He has a great little personality and asks to get in the big bed with his foster mom. His adoption fee is $200 After reading this pet's info, if you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the online adoption application found at realgooddogrescue.com The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard.
