"Boom boom acka-lacka lacka boom Boom boom acka-lacka boom boom   Open the door, get on the floor Everybody walk the dinosaur"   Hey hey all you happy hoomans, Dino here, the cheery Chihuahua! Just wanted to let you know that you're never going to find another pup like me. I'll greet you with a full body wag when you come home, when you come into a room, or when you left me alone for longer than 30 seconds, which we all know is just plain wrong anyway...lol.   Cuddling and playing is my thing, and hanging out with my hoomans, and all the furbrothers and fursisters here at this BARK place. It's a blast, but I'm ready for a family of my very own. So go to that website and submit an application. Who knows, maybe it will be you that gets to "Walk the Dinosaur". ##2709146##

COURTESY LISTINGGracie is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Meet Gracie, a laid-back senior sweetheart who has never met a stranger she didn't like. This gentle Chihuahua Jack Russell mix has spent her life as devoted companion to an elderly gentleman, and it shows in her calm, easygoing nature. She is low energy and content just to be near you, always ready for belly rubs and quiet affection. She is hard of hearing, so she relies a bit more on gentle touch and visual cues, but she still knows several commands and responds well once she has your attention. Gracie is impressively housetrained, holding it through long stretches without an accident, and she rides beautifully in the car and walks nicely on a leash. She has spent time around another dog in the home with no issues at all, simply keeping to herself. She is not a fan of cats, though she is not aggressive about it, she just prefers to keep her distance and let you know how she feels. Gracie would do best in a calm, quiet home, ideally with an elderly companion or someone who appreciates a mellow pace of life. She just wants to be good company and soak up a little love along the way. If you are looking for a devoted, low key companion to share peaceful days with, Gracie would love to meet you. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 21, 2026, 12:32 pm

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Mimi, a smart, water-loving girl whose eyes light up with adoration once she knows she is safe. This Chihuahua mix, likely with Feist based on her brindle coloring, is just over a year old and weighs around 21 pounds. She carries medium energy and a busy, curious mind, and she absolutely lights up around water- a hose, a sprinkler, or a baby pool is basically her idea of paradise. She also loves her chew toys and stuffies, and when she finally winds down, there is nothing she loves more than curling up in your lap or against your chest for a snooze. Mimi takes time to warm up to new people and new situations, and she will need a patient family willing to let her set the pace as she settles in. Once she feels secure, though, she becomes playful, silly, and deeply affectionate, the kind of dog who looks right into your eyes like you hung the moon. She does great with other dogs and cats after a slow, proper introduction, and she should do well with calm, older children too. She is fully housetrained and loves her crate, treating it like her own cozy treasure chest. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides and outings with someone she trusts. Mimi tends to bond more quickly with women, though with time and patience she has warmed up to her foster dad as well. She would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and a dog playmate to romp around with. If you have the patience to help a sweet girl find her confidence and the love to give her once she does, Mimi would be so lucky to meet you. Story
My name is Darcy. I weigh about 30 lbs. I came from a home with other dogs and cats, as well as children, with whom I got along very well. I do have to be fed seperately as I am very possessive of my grub. I have been an indoor dog and am house and crate trained. I am very people motivated and will go to great lengths to be with my people. I know basic commands, like to go for walks and car ride, and even tolerate a bath (when necessary).
