Story
Approximate Age: 6 years Approximate Weight: 12 lbs MANTIS is a lovely lady. She is much like an older car. She takes a little while to warm up, but once she does, she is easy going, dependable, and ready for a life-long journey. Toys are the gas in her tank...they literally make her smile. ● Very polite and respectful of other dogs and will often climb in bed with a friend at night or for a long nap. Another friendly dog in the home would be a plus to boost her confidence and be a role model. ● Uses training pads faithfully. She is smart and would likely pick up outside potty skills once she settles into her new surroundings. ● No food aggression. She is fed in her crate because there are six other dogs in her current foster home who all dine in their crates. ● Will seek attention and loves to be talked to. Not a fan of cuddling (at the present time). She is happy to rest and relax next to her humans for pets and belly rubs. ● The Universe has so much in store for Mantis. Would you like to be a part of her new life? If so, please complete and submit an adoption survey. Having been part of a hoarding situation with 100 other dogs, almost everything about living in a home with a family is new to Mantis. She is thriving and her happy personality is shining brighter every day in spite of a rough start in life. She is looking for an adopter that will give her much needed compassion, patience, and security. In return she will give you her big heart, friendship, and lots of smiles. ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey. Story
Truffles is a confident, cuddle-loving 10-year-old who gets along with just about everyone, cats, dogs, you name it. While she’s happy to hang with her furry friends, what she really wants is a cozy spot next to you. She’s the kind of dog who’ll follow you from room to room, just to be nearby. Ready to give your heart (and couch) to Truffles? She’s waiting! She came in with her sister Marigold, but they don’t seem to be bonded and can be adopted separately. ##2394454##

Story
Max is a handsome 13 year old 12 pound Chihuahua Pug mix. Max has a big personality. He's social, playful, and opinionated. Max gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but can be snappish over treats. His BFF and friend who has been with him his entire life is Jill, a 13 year old 8 pound Chihuahua. We'd love to see them get adopted together. Both are altered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative.

Story
Hello everyone and happy new year. We are looking to rehome our 2 year old chihuahua Mochi. Mochi has been with us since she was 8 weeks old. She is great with people and kids. She loves to cuddle up on the couch next to you and snuggle. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations and is microchipped. We are looking to rehome her as we have 2 other pets that unfortunately she doesn’t get along with and with her size we are afraid she may get injured. In our opinion, she would do best and thrive in a single pet family. She is just over 5 pounds. Reach out for any inquiries and we will be more than happy to answer any questions and provide more information.
