Meet Stack – Small but Mighty, and Ready for His Second Chance 🖤🐾
Formerly known as “TV Static,” this tiny 6 lb Chihuahua mix is now proudly named Stack, in honor of Ryan “Stack” Clark, a beloved Virginia Tech alum whose life embodied the spirit of service. His name, chosen by our sponsor Jamie June, is a tribute to Ryan and a reminder of the powerful motto Ut Prosim — That I May Serve.
Stack is about 2 years old and is coming to Sunny Bear Rescue at the end of April from a high-kill shelter in Texas. His road hasn’t been easy. Found as a stray, Stack arrived at the shelter terrified and overwhelmed. He avoids handling, won’t walk on a leash, and struggles with the noisy, chaotic shelter environment. But even in his fear, he’s never shown aggression — just a quiet plea for patience and peace.
He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Stack will need a calm, 1:1 foster or adoptive home where he can decompress and begin to understand that he’s finally safe. A secure 4ft fence is a must, and a patient, dog-savvy person who can go at his pace will make all the difference.
Stack may be tiny and scared now, but we believe with time, love, and the right environment, he’ll come out of his shell and show us just how mighty he can be. His journey of healing starts here — and thanks to his namesake, he’s carrying the legacy of strength, compassion, and service into this new chapter.
